/PRCWT/Shanghai, December 14, 2023 - In order to further promote and popularize campus ice and snow sports culture, cultivate students' interest in ice and snow sports, improve students' ice and snow sports skills, create a campus ice and snow sports atmosphere, and implement the spirit of "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports", on December 9, 2023, Oriental Green Boat held the "Green Boat Cup" Shanghai Campus Dry Land Curling Invitational Tournament. The event was guided by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, organized by Oriental Green Boat, a youth off-campus activity camp in Shanghai, and organized by the Shanghai Middle School Students Sports Association. After intense competition, the event came to a successful conclusion.
Dry curling does not depend on cold climates or ice surfaces. It can be performed in a wider range of regions and seasons. As a unique and innovative land sport, it simulates traditional curling without real ice. This dry land curling competition for primary and secondary school students in Shanghai attracted young curling enthusiasts from all primary and secondary schools in Shanghai, and the players of each team showed excellent teamwork skills in the competition. The competition set up three groups: primary school group, junior high school group and senior high school group. The competition process was exciting and exciting!
In the primary school group, the teams from Shanghai Jiading District Experimental Primary School Beishuiwan Branch, Shanghai Jiading District Caowang Primary School, and Shanghai Jiading District Xincheng Experimental Primary School performed well and won the primary school group male, female, and mixed group championships respectively. In the middle school group, the team of Shanghai Tingxin Middle School stood out with their excellent skills and outstanding collaboration ability and won the championship trophies in the three categories of the junior high school group; in addition, Shanghai Industrial Technology School won the high school group male team championship, and Fengcheng Senior High School in Fengxian District of Shanghai won the high school group female and mixed championship trophies.
As a campus ice and snow sports training base in Shanghai, under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Dongfang Lvzhou has always adhered to the concept of encouraging young people to participate in sports events, continuously promoted the development of dryland curling among young people, and contributed to the cultivation of more outstanding young athletes.
