/ Chaowen Tong/July 27, 2022 GUANGZHOU -- In order to understand the planting situation of fresh corn in Jian 'ou City, Nanping City, Fujian Province, and promote the production increase of fresh corn and farmers' income, On July 23, Ye Delian, teacher from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and members of Jian 'ou Fresh corn research and Practice team went to Guilin Village, Dongfeng Town, Jian 'ou City to investigate the information about corn production process.
After learning from the previous days of research experience, practice team members braved the sun to start a new day's journey again. Striding along the path between row upon row of cottages in Guilin village, the osmanthus trees can be seen everywhere inadvertently bump into the field of vision of practice members. The star civilized house, the Home of glory and the home of Party members are everywhere. The educated youth building in the distance shows the rich red culture of Guilin village.After asking several farmers and getting answers that they did not grow fresh corn, the practice team members continued their research mission with firm faith. Finally, under the unremitting efforts of the practice members, the research task began to shine. Led by a warm-hearted old lady, the practice members visited an old party member and some fresh corn growers in Guilin Village.
The process of talking with the grandfather of the old party member is still fresh in every practical member's memory. In the conversation with Grandpa, the practicing members can clearly perceive his patience and enthusiasm, as well as his undying desire to serve the people. Although grandpa is over 90 years old, he is still hale and hearty and speaks clearly about his years of experience in growing corn. From planting to harvesting, what Grandpa tells us is not the hard work but the fruits and pride of his own labor. During the discussion, Grandpa also continued to convey the practice members to study hard expectations. Although the practice members are outsiders, the kindness of Grandpa, like his own elders, has deeply touched the hearts of the practice members. The members of the practice team are increasingly aware of the responsibility they shoulder -- the hope of the future development of agriculture. At the end of the investigation, Grandpa proudly showed his "50 years of glory in the Party" commemorative badge to the practice team members. After saying goodbye to Grandpa, a party member, we arrived at the home of fresh corn farmers in Guilin village under the guidance of our aunt. The rainy weather in the first half of this year has brought a huge blow to fresh corn growers in Guilin village. Despite uncontrollable natural disasters, what most impresses practitioners is the farmers' desire to improve fresh corn farming techniques. Farmers know they have years of experience growing corn, but they need to be more scientific if they want to get higher yields.
