/PRZWT/On September 28th, the 2025 China Road Cycling Professional League (Yandang Mountain Station) and the Third Yandang Mountain Cycling Conference kicked off in the Yandang Mountain Scenic Area of Yueqing City.
This event is hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association, guided by the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Competition Center, jointly organized by the Wenzhou Sports Bureau, the People's Government of Yueqing City, and the Wenzhou Yandang Mountain Scenic Area Tourism Management Committee, jointly executed by the Yueqing Sports Development Center and the Yueqing Cultural Tourism Investment Group, and co-organized by the Wenzhou Cycling Development Association. It is exclusively operated by Zhongao Sports Development Group Co., LTD.
At 8:15 a.m., the opening ceremony of this station's event was held at the Yandang Mountain Tourist Distribution Center. Present at the ceremony were Sun Lianbin, Deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Cycling Association, Wu Zhenmian, Chairman of China Olympic Sports Development Group Co., LTD., Ren Minpeng, Deputy Director of the Shooting and Cycling Sports Management Center of the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and Du Jizheng, member of the Party Group and deputy Director of the Wenzhou Sports Bureau. Lin Chenbo, deputy Secretary of the CPC Yueqing Municipal Committee and vice mayor of Yueqing, Wang Jinfafa, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yueqing Municipal Committee and Executive deputy director of the Yandang Mountain Management Committee, Lin Yuehe, vice chairperson of the Yueqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Xue Akun, secretary of the Yandang Town Committee of Yueqing City, attended the event. Sun Lianbin, deputy secretary-general of the Chinese Cycling Association, declared the opening of the competition. The leaders and guests attending the event jointly sounded the starting horn for the event.
This race attracted 16 professional teams with a total of 123 drivers. The entire course was 168 kilometers long, featuring two sprints and two climbs. The entire stage was beautiful in scenery and of moderate difficulty.
After more than three hours of intense competition, Rikunov Petr from the Chengdu DYC Intercontinental Team won the first place in the stage. At the same time, he also wore the pink jersey of the Daring to Fight Award for this stage due to his active performance in the race. The second and third places were won respectively by Mudgway Luke of the Lining Star Intercontinental Team and Stepanov Andre of the Chengdu DYC Intercontinental Team.
After this race, various honor shirts were also determined one after another. Ma Qiwei of the Li Ning Star Intercontinental Team continued to lead the individual total points, wearing the red shirt. He also had the green shirt of the Sprint King. Chen Yusheng of the SCOM- Wuzhishan - MVMT Intercontinental Team won the Best in Greater China and the Best in Youth. The title of the Climbing King went to Jonas Rapp of the Phoenix Finis -SCOM - Hengxiang Intercontinental Team.
This station's competition also held the Yandang Mountain Cycling Conference (hereinafter referred to as the "Cycling Conference"), with a total of 1,200 participants. The Yandang Mountain stage features flat sections, curves and continuous climbs, providing cyclists with a rich experience. This year's cycling conference has specially added the "King of Climbs" award to honor those who perform outstandingly on the climbing sections.
This cycling event passed through towns such as Yandang, Xianxi, Longxi, Dajing and Furong, and also connected multiple scenic spots including Yandang Mountain, Tiedingliuliu, Feilada, Xianshengmen, Nange and Sanshuiya. It can be said that "people ride in the scenery and the scenery rides in the journey". The athletes enjoyed the rolling clouds of the beautiful Yandang Mountain as the wheels rolled. The mountain and water scenery of Yandang Mountain became a moving scenic line as the riders sped along.
Since 2023, Yueqing has hosted the China Road Cycling Professional League for three consecutive times. This year, Yueqing has further improved and enhanced its capabilities in event support, route planning, departmental collaboration, and logistical services, forming a dual guarantee service model of "professional escort + amateur guarantee". Years of experience in major competitions have cultivated the unique feature of "hosting major competitions in a small city" in Yueqing, which has become a vivid practice of "promoting the city and tourism through competitions", and has achieved the transformation of event traffic into city retention.
Cities make events possible, and events make cities successful. The two speeding wheels have stirred up a surging wave of high-quality economic development in Yueqing. With a racing posture that races against time, they have not only injected strong impetus into the city's development but also blazed a new trail of characteristic economy featuring competition as a medium and integration of industry and city.
