/PRZWT/Chun'an,November 6,2024-On the occasion of the China Cycling Conference and the 18th China Cycling Race around Qiandao Lake in 2024 on November 3,Sun Lianbin,Deputy Secretary-General of the China Cycling Association,announced the results of the 2024"China Cycling Map"selection.The"China Cycling Map"covers 110 high-quality cycling routes,which will provide more cycling route choices for the majority of cycling enthusiasts,and work with the majority of cyclists to draw a new blueprint for cycling.
Covering a wider range to meet the cycling needs of the general public
The China Autonomous Association issued a solicitation announcement in August.By the deadline of the end of October,it had received more than 2,000 recommended routes actively selected by relevant units.Subsequently,the China Autonomous Association selected 110 high-quality cycling routes through online voting and evaluation by the evaluation committee,and finally selected them for the"China Cycling Map".Compared with the scale of 2023,the selected high-quality routes have expanded to more than 100,covering 31 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.The routes have beautiful scenery and complete facilities,demonstrating the support and enthusiasm for cycling across the country.
The event was directed by the Group Division of the General Administration of Sport of China,and was jointly initiated by the General Administration of Sport of China Bicycle Fencing Sports Management Center,the China Cycling Association,and Autonavi Map.It aims to implement the national fitness plan,meet the needs of the general public for green,healthy,low-carbon and environmentally friendly cycling sports,and focus on solving the pain points of"where to ride".In the future,the"China Cycling Map"will also organize online and offline cycling activities around selected boutique cycling routes.
