/PRCWT/Guangzhou, March 14, 2023——The bitterly cold weather isn't going anywhere as forecasters are predicting the mercury to plummet to a bone chilling -5C. According to BBC Weather, London's temperature will drop this Wednesday (March 15) with areas such as Uxbridge and Harrow seeing the lowest temperatures.

This is terrible news for people hoping to keep thermostats down during March amid soaring energy costs. There's been confusion surrounding why we're experiencing such freezing temperatures in mid-March, and according to Jim Dale of the British Weather Services, "we'll be getting what we didn't get in February".

He says it's not a 'Beast From The East' as the cold's coming from a northerly direction instead which he's dubbed 'The Spring Thor'. Jim added: "It's [the cold weather] dropping down from there [Scandinavia].

“It's coming down as a whole line so the rest of Europe will be much more affected than ourselves. We're all going to be in the polar front coming south across all northern and central Europe."

He added: "It's from the north, not the east. I'm not saying we won't get a little bit of easterly ingredient in there in time because the continent will be cold." The full upcoming London forecast can be found below.
