/ Beijing time, June 27 (Beijing time) - Siemens said Monday it has received an order for a batch of hydrogen-powered trains from a German regional rail supplier, according to official sources.
Siemens said it would deliver the trains in the fall of 2024 and enter service in December of that year. Siemens will build seven hatchback Mireo Plus H trains powered by hydrogen fuel cells for the Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn, according to the presentation. Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn is a rail supplier in the region around Berlin, the German capital.
