Nowadays, more and more people hope to avoid the crisis of outdated knowledge and exhausted ideas in the face of fierce competition, so they choose overseas study Tours to recharge themselves, broaden their horizons and broaden their ideas. Junxue Overseas is committed to building a global platform for lifelong learning for education entrepreneurs, importing global quality education projects and first-class talents to the industry, helping domestic educators, parents and children to go abroad for overseas exchanges. In late November 2017, the first class of Junxue Overseas came to the mysterious Israel with a group of educators.

On November 28, in the conference room of DAN Hotel in Jerusalem, Aron Ciechanover, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2004, was invited by the first class of JunxueOverseas Class to have a two-hour sharing session for the "lovers of sex", which was the first time for the educators to have face-to-face and zero-distance communication with world-class masters.

The scientist, who won the Nobel Prize for discovering how proteins break down in the body, is just 70 years old. Over the past 13 years, he has continued to work in the laboratory every day, writing papers and flying around the world to give lectures and attend academic conferences. He has been to China for more than 100 times. He has a good understanding of China and is familiar with that "Chinese parents attach great importance to the success of their children. What they ask for more is to obey their children and do as they are told. Dr. Aron explains the importance of education through his own experience growing up.

(The following excerpt from Dr. Aaron Ciechanover's shared transcript)

I also have many friends in China who are scientists, they are very excellent people, and China also has very top universities, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai University, Fudan University and so on. The reason why these universities are great is because there are many very strong experts in them, because there is an old saying in China that "the so-called great scholars are not just those who have buildings, but those who have great masters". There are many respectable and promising scientists, so I have no worries about the future of China.

When it comes to education, I think one of the things that China needs to do now is to update its education system and make the whole system more open, so that there will be more vitality of innovation. Because I find that most people in China don't tolerate failure, everyone wants their children to succeed, and hope their children will always be top students. First of all, it is a heavy burden on the children. Secondly, I think it is impossible. In my opinion, failure is a necessary lesson in life.

I myself was like this, I was always an average person in high school, I got 80 and 90, even 70, 40, but I think the most important thing is to have someone to sit with me when I failed and help me analyze the reason. I've had a lot of conversations with ministers of education and presidents of universities in China, and I would say to them that the state of China has to change, not just to educate the students, you are part of the education system, and you have to educate the parents as well as the students, and it's very important for the parents to be tolerant of failure, because I think failure is an ugly word, But if we can understand it correctly, failure means a lesson. If we can get some lessons from it, then it is not a failure and we will not repeat such mistakes next time.

And I think the most important thing is to analyze the reasons for failure, sometimes we do things in the right way, but end up with the wrong conclusion. Sometimes we get it wrong, and we start off wrong, and it's impossible to come to the right conclusion, and so what we need to tell parents is that in the process of educating our children, we need to not just help them with their homework, of course, but the most important thing is to sit with them when they fail, Instead of telling your children that you are a failure, sit with them and help them analyze the reasons for this, so that they can better face their own life in the future. Therefore, I want to say that the biggest problem in Chinese education is that failure is not tolerated. But in Israel, failure is even very important, because failure is a necessary lesson in success, even in life.

You may not succeed, but a person is bound to fail, including us in the laboratory, many researchers fail every day, they try a variety of different formulations every day, these experiments may be months or even years and decades, they fail every day, and finally can still get a satisfactory research result. That's what failure means to us.

I think what we learn from books is far less important than the lessons we learn ourselves. That's what my mother instilled in me. She just didn't tell me that directly. When I was young, I used to help my mother wash dishes, and then she told me that you must break a dish or a bowl every now and then, because only after breaking can you know how to finish the task of washing dishes safely next time, so the most important thing is not to make mistakes, but to learn from mistakes, which is the most important.

I remember very well that when I was in the Ivy League, I could not find answers in books, Wikipedia, Google, Yahoo. I would find answers in my own failure. This is the same thing that everyone can do. All of you here are teachers, and your roles are very important. When a student makes a mistake, you should not directly fire him or her and severely criticize him or her so that he or she feels rejected. Instead, you should help him or her analyze the problem, so that he or she can not make the same mistake again. This is very important. Learn from failure, do better next time and be more innovative. This is something you have to learn from your own experience. There is nothing better than your own experience.

After Dr. Aron Ciechanover's speech, the "sex friends" of the first class of Junxueoverseas were deeply impressed by the topic of "the influence of religion on education", "the influence of parents on children", "the comparison of education between Israel and the United States" and so on. "I hope to promote the development of science and technology, because the quality of life will get better and better when science and technology progress," Dr. Aron said. "Science and technology are the most beautiful language of peace for mankind."
