/PRZWT/On the afternoon of September 29th, the 8th "Hello Science" Science forum was successfully held in Wuhou District. This event is hosted by the CPC Wuhou District Committee of Chengdu City and the People's Government of Wuhou District, Chengdu City. The event is hosted by Chengdu Science and Technology Innovation Service Center (Chengdu Youth Science and Technology Activity Center), Chengdu Wuhou District Science and Technology Association, Chongqing Shapingba District Science and Technology Association, Chengdu Wuhou District Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, Chengdu Wuhou District Education Bureau, and the Communist Youth League Committee of Chengdu Wuhou District. The forum event focused on the cutting-edge topics of big data and artificial intelligence, attracting the participation of relevant departments, enterprises, scientific and technological workers and citizen representatives in Wuhou District.
The forum specially invited Xia Qi, an "Outstanding Talent in Cyberspace" of the Cyberspace Administration of China, an expert in the electronic information subfield of the shipbuilding sector of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, vice president of the Sichuan Women's Association for Science and Technology, member of the Sichuan Association for Science and Technology Committee, and director of the Blockchain Research Institute of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, to deliver a wonderful sharing on the theme of "The Sea of Data, the Light of Intelligence: The Development Foundation and Intelligent Engine in the Era of Artificial Intelligence".
President Xia first systematically expounded on the essence and value of data. She pointed out that data is not merely numbers and symbols, but a "new language" and "digital soil" that depicts the laws governing the operation of the world, and it is the most fundamental means of production in the intelligent era. Subsequently, the generation logic of intelligence was deeply analyzed, explaining how data is trained, learned and iterated through advanced algorithm models, and ultimately the core capabilities of perception, decision-making and creation are refined from massive amounts of information.
When discussing "How Data Empowers the Intelligent Era", President Xia, through vivid cases, focused on analyzing the extensive application of data intelligence in enhancing production efficiency, optimizing urban governance, and innovating personal services. By demonstrating the driving role of big data in scenarios such as smart healthcare, intelligent transportation, and the "metaverse", she revealed how data is profoundly reshaping our working patterns and lifestyles.
