/ PRZWT/[Shanghai, China, September 18, 2025] During Huawei Connect 2025, the AI City Summit with the theme of "Jointly Building the Cloud Foundation of the Intelligent World and Accelerating the Intelligent Upgrade of Government Affairs and Industries" was successfully held. More than 500 guests gathered together to discuss and promote the evolution of models that empower government affairs, cities and industries with artificial intelligence technology. Huadu District of Guangzhou City, MISK New City of Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia respectively shared their practices in digital and intelligent transformation. At the meeting, Huawei, in collaboration with the National Information Center, released the "AI CITY 2025 Government and Industry Pioneer Case", providing a referenceable and replicable path and model for the intelligentization of government and cities as well as the digital and intelligent transformation of industries.
Cao Jibin, senior vice president of Huawei and president of the China Region Department, said that the transition from traditional smart cities to AI cities is not merely a technological upgrade, but a leap in the urban governance system and governance capacity. Looking to the future, Huawei will promote the high-quality development of AI CITY from three aspects: First, it will explore technological and solution innovations with research institutes and government and enterprise customers to create more pioneering cases of intelligent upgrades in urban government affairs and industries; Second, invite more partners to join the AI CITY industry Joint Innovation program to promote the intelligent transformation of the entire city. Third, cultivate AI+ innovative and practical talents needed by the industry, launch more AI application-oriented talent training practices for the Ascend Foundation, and lay a solid talent foundation for the long-term development of the industry. Huawei is willing to join hands with all parties to build a new AI CITY ecosystem as a "partner of urban digitalization and intelligence".
The transformation of AI technology drives the systematic innovation of AI CITY. Wang Feng, President of Huawei Cloud Industry Development, pointed out that Huawei has always been committed to systematic technological innovation around artificial intelligence, building the comprehensive capabilities of a new generation of cloud, network, edge, terminal, chip and security technology platforms, and empowering the innovation of AI CITY scenarios and the creation of model ecosystems. In the future, AI CITY will accelerate the release of new AI productivity, empower the governance, government services and industrial upgrading of the entire city, and achieve an overall and systematic improvement in the performance of artificial intelligence in the city.
During the event, Huawei, in collaboration with the National Information Center, released the "AI CITY 2025 Government and Industry Pioneer Cases". Cities such as Wuhan, Changsha, Xi 'an, Karamay, Yixing, Changping in Beijing, Futian in Shenzhen, Baiyun in Guangzhou, and Guiyang-Gui 'an were selected as typical cases of government services and urban governance. Cities like Wuxi, Dongguan, and Huadu in Guangzhou became exemplary cases of industrial intelligent upgrading. Xing Xiang, the Secretary of the CPC Huadu District Committee of Guangzhou City, shared the "Huadu Experience" on the spot. Huadu District has focused on the digital transformation challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises. The Huadu District Government has actively played a guiding role and jointly built the "Huadu District New Industrialization Digital Service Platform" with institutions such as Huawei, exploring the empowerment of manufacturing enterprises' transformation and upgrading through artificial intelligence. Promote the overall leap of regional industries in a platform-based and inclusive manner.
