/PRZWT/BEIJING, October 08, 2024 - On the morning of September 27, the press conference for the first Miyun International Road Cycling Race around the Lake was held at Miyun Yishi Manor. The event was co-organized by the China Cycling Association, the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, and the People's Government of Miyun District of Beijing. It was organized by the Beijing Miyun District Sports Bureau and the Beijing Miyun District Sports Federation.
At the press conference, the organizing committee introduced the highlights of this year's event and released many event information such as event routes, event bonuses, and event guarantees.
It is understood that the 2024 first Miyun Huanhu International Road Cycling Race will be held in Miyun, Beijing on October 27, 2024. It is the first international road cycling race in Miyun District, Beijing. The starting point of the race is located in Marathon Square, Miyun District, Beijing, and the finishing point is at Yunfoshan Ski Resort, Miyun District, Beijing. There will be more than 20 professional road cycling teams and amateur cycling enthusiasts participating. The event categories are divided into: elite group (120 people), open group (500 people), challenge group (300), with a total number of nearly 1,000 participants. The event covers cycling enthusiasts of different ages and levels.
Race route: Starting from Marathon Square (Miyun service area, starting point), ride along the left embankment road, then enter the right embankment road (counterclockwise circle), the elite group goes around 2 times, the rest of the group goes around 1 time, and then passes through Jianwan Road, Migu Road, Reservoir South Line (passing through the third, second, and first spillway), Reservoir South Line, and finally arrives at Yunfo Mountain Ski Resort (finishing point). The elite group has a total distance of 86 kilometers, and the other groups have a distance of 60 kilometers.
Event rewards: each group of the International Road Cycling Race will compete for the championship, Asian and third place, awarded medals and cash prizes. Among them: the elite group crown, Asian and third place bonuses are: 30,000 yuan, 20,000 yuan, 10,000 yuan; open group crown and second place (a total of 6 people) bonuses are: 10,000 yuan, 5 thousand yuan, 2 thousand yuan; challenge group crown and second place (a total of 6 people) bonuses are: 5 thousand yuan, 3 thousand yuan, 2 thousand yuan; each group 4-10 also have corresponding cash prizes, the total prize of the event is 161,600 yuan.
Event Guarantee: On the day of the event, the event organizing committee will strictly abide by the latest "Cycling Competition Rules" approved by the China Cycling Association, orchestrate and implement important links such as track closure and layout, induction timing, full video recording, doping testing and medical security. The event organizing committee has built a comprehensive medical assistance system with fixed medical stations, ambulances along the track, medical volunteers, AED volunteers, etc. as the core, and arranged professional security teams to jointly protect the life safety of the competitors.
