/PRZWT/BEIJING, Sept. 18, 2024 - The Leica M-System is unlike any other. It is synonymous with "Made in Germany" quality. Since the introduction of the Leica Roundabout System in 1954, Leica M-System cameras and lenses have won worldwide acclaim for their superior image quality, ease of operation, superb manufacturing techniques, and strong value preservation capabilities.

To this day, the Leica M remains steadfast in its iconic design, focusing on the essence of photography. The same goes for the latest camera in the M11 family, the Leica M11-D. The display has been specifically removed from the back of the Leica M11-D camera, replaced by an ISO dial that allows users to focus on the essentials of photographic creation, such as composition, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Functionally, the new M11-D makes no compromises. With unique customization features, modern connectivity, and hardware-based image authenticity technology (first introduced to the camera market on the M11-P as a "Leica Content Credentials" feature), the M11-D is a classic combination of side-axis photography and cutting-edge camera technology. The minimalist lines of the new M11-D, the matte black body, and the deliberately omitted red Leica logo all reflect the understated characteristics of Leica's product design.

The M11-D supports shooting at 60 million, 36 million or 18 million pixels. Equipped with 3 GB cache, it can still shoot up to 5 photos per second at a resolution of 60 million pixels. Comes with 256 GB of ample image storage space. The battery is strong, ensuring the M11-D is always on call when it matters. This extremely compact new full frame size camera feels comfortable and weighs only 540 grams (including battery), making it 115 grams lighter than its predecessor.

The M11-D is extremely easy to operate, and as an M camera, it also immerses users in the world of M lenses, compatible with all M prime lenses introduced since 1954. The Leica M11-D features a full frame size sensor designed specifically for the M11 series. Equipped with triple resolution technology, the sensitivity range from native ISO 64 to ISO 50,000 provides excellent noise reduction even in low light conditions, resulting in excellent image quality.

The Leica M11-D brings the film photography experience to the digital world and more. Photographers are free to decide when to integrate into the digital workflow. This new M camera is seamless via Bluetooth or data cable. As an Apple-certified "Made for iPhone and iPad ®" device, the Leica M11-D connects Apple devices quickly and smoothly.

More settings can also be achieved through the Leica FOTOS app on the phone. After pairing, you can quickly transfer photos to the app, and use the app to remotely control the camera and add geotags to pictures. In addition, through the Leica FOTOS app on Apple or Android devices, you can directly view and filter photos and adjust camera parameters, such as white balance, DNG or JPEG format. After the camera parameters are saved in the app, they can be permanently synced to the M11-D camera. This way, users can personalize the new M camera according to their needs.

The new M11-D has a built-in "Leica Content Credentials" function to protect the authenticity of digital photos. The content authentication function complies with the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) and C2PA standards.

Two matching high-quality leather accessories are launched in sync with the new M11-D. One is a black protective case designed specifically for the M11-D, cut at the mechanical ISO dial on the back of the camera. The other is a strap for all M-System cameras, made from a single piece of leather and available in black and cognac.

Leica is looking to the future and redesigning its packaging. With the launch of the M11-D, Leica has also introduced a new product packaging concept. The newly designed packaging box is produced in Germany and is made almost entirely from natural paper.

The Leica M11-D is now available in Leica stores worldwide, through official online channels and at authorized Leica dealers. The price is RMB 73,800 (including VAT).
