At 06:52 local time on June 18, flight K4865 from Ezhou Huahu Airport arrived in Miami. The flight was carrying more than 1,100 kilograms of gypsy stars and golden balls from Yunnan, China, operated by China Eastern Airlines Cold Chain Logistics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Cold Chain Company). After these flowers were picked from the branches, they embarked on a 13,500-kilometer journey and came to Miami customers with a fresh attitude. It is reported that a batch of flowers from Yunnan will be transferred through Ezhou every week to quickly supply the Miami market across the continent.
Yunnan is an important flower production base in China, and its high-quality and diverse flower products enjoy a high reputation in domestic and foreign markets. Previously, due to the lack of refrigerant insulation treatment and direct air freight channels, flower products often had to go through a more complicated transshipment process to reach the international market, which not only increased transportation costs, but also made it difficult to guarantee the arrival quality and timeliness of flowers. Therefore, domestic flowers failed to develop the international market on a large scale.
With the help of the "Ezhou-Miami" route opened by the cold chain company in early June, the problem of fast track for the export of flowers in Yunnan was solved. The cold chain company also found a solution to the temperature control problem that has been plaguing the transportation of flowers for a long time. From this batch of flowers, the cold chain company has fully implanted the "East-East Testing" temperature monitoring system, and through real-time temperature monitoring and early warning, it keeps the whole process of flower transportation fresh. At the same time, the cold chain company has specially formulated the "direct origin" SOP standard operating procedure according to the characteristics of Yunnan flower products and supply chain roads, which has greatly reduced the operation links of the supply chain, shortened the stay time of flowers in domestic transit, apron and warehouse areas, and improved the freshness and quality of flowers when they arrive at their destination.
The cold chain company successfully helped Yunnan flower products export to the US market, which not only solved the logistics and transportation problems of our country's traditional flower products export, but also explored a new model for China's high-quality agricultural products to go to the world on a large scale.
