/PRZWT/Shanghai, May 29, 2024 - After the successful conclusion of the F1 Chinese Grand Prix, another top racing event will open in Shencheng. From May 25th to 26th, the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will open in Shanghai. This is not only the return of Formula E to China after five years, but also the first time that Formula E has landed in Shanghai. On the eve of the start of the race, FE racing materials have arrived in Shanghai with multiple cargo charters. As the main base airline in Shanghai, China Eastern Logistics, a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, has undertaken the ground support task of cargo charters for this event.
Late at night on May 16, the first FE Formula E racing charter flight 3V801 departed from Belgium and landed smoothly at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. The FE charter support team of China Eastern Airlines Logistics was on standby and carefully deployed in advance. Detailed planning and preparation were carried out from the handover of FE charter flights into the port, to the confirmation of warehouse receipt information, and to the arrangement of the pickup site. The support team communicated with the airline in advance to obtain the assembly details of the goods, the installation of the plate type and other information, and provided all-round support in terms of personnel and equipment. In response to the oversized and overweight characteristics of FE racing spare parts, China Eastern Airlines Logistics set up a special channel, opened a special operation site, and installed a fence around the site. With years of experience in F1 charter support, China Eastern Logistics ensured the stability of cargo transfer and further improved the safety of racing materials and cargo operation in the FE event.
So far, China Eastern Airlines Logistics has completed the ground support task for 3 chartered flights and a total of 256 tons of racing materials, and will also complete the ground support task of airlifting FE racing materials from Shanghai in the future.
