/PRZWT/April 28, 2024 - On the occasion of the 29th World Book and Copyright Day and the 24th World Intellectual Property Day, on April 23, the Copyright Administration of the Publicity Department of the Chinese Communist Party and the Propaganda Department of the China Disabled Persons' Federation jointly organized by the China Copyright Association, China Braille Publishing House, and China Braille Library held a reading rights protection forum in Kunming.

As one of the key activities of the 3rd National Reading Conference and the 2024 National Intellectual Property Publicity Week, the forum focused on accessible reading for visually impaired groups, promoted the establishment of a barrier-free reading copyright service system, and worked together to promote the protection of the reading rights and interests of visually impaired groups.

Since 2014, a large number of new reading platforms have responded to the policy call and become hubs connecting reading and the public. For people with reading disabilities, their road to reading is not smooth. Accessible reading promotion is an important part of national reading. At the event, Shanghai Soybean Network Technology Co., Ltd. (Fanshu APP), Heilongjiang Tongyuan Cultural Development Co., Ltd., and Foreign Languages Publishing House signed a cooperation agreement with China Braille Publishing House and China Braille Library to promote accessible reading services.

As a leading brand of digital reading and a pioneer in deeply promoting national reading, Fanshu takes the vision of "continuously delivering the value of good books" and the mission of "helping 300 million book friends benefit from reading" to lead the new reading mode of "listening to books". It is hoped that through the selection of good books and simple-to-understand methods, people can easily harvest practical new knowledge and wisdom inspiration, and continuously promote the cause of national reading. With this opportunity, Fanshu plans to cooperate with China Braille Society to fully support public welfare undertakings, fully demonstrating the mission of cultural institutions to practice social responsibility and help protect the rights and interests of barrier-free reading.

Fanshu plans to provide selected high-quality resources of the Fanshu APP in-app to visually impaired readers across the country, and set up a support team to help the blind with peace of mind, and jointly launch targeted cultural public welfare activities for visually impaired readers, including live classes, voice speaking and writing training camps, etc. Fanshu also plans to bring these activities into libraries and blind schools, and benefit more visually impaired readers through tours. Through a series of measures, Fanshu is committed to building a barrier-free reading environment, making knowledge unbounded, allowing more people to share the beauty of reading, and building a scholarly society together.

Life is like a sea, and a good book is a sail. While actively promoting reading by the whole people, Fanshu also always adheres to the corporate social responsibility value and fully supports public welfare undertakings. Fanshu always believes that everyone has the equal right to enjoy reading. In addition to actively promoting cooperation with China Braille Society, Fanshu has also responded to the "Marrakesh Treaty" and opened the APP barrier-free format version. In the future, Fanshu will continue to lead the trend of reading, so that more people can benefit from reading, so that more people can sail in the sea of books and raise their own sails.
