At the salon scene, Wang Lei, president of BAIC Research Institute, talked about the "quality equality" in the hearts of R & D engineers from three aspects: "smarter, more energy-efficient, and safer", and explained how BAIC creates the best quality products and meets the most real needs of users with a "very resistant" technology.
In BAIC's view, "smarter" is to make travel life worry-free, comfortable and fun. BAIC is the first car company in the industry to realize AI large models on the car. Products such as JIXU Koala and α coefficient T5 have the ability of self-awareness, active learning and unlimited conversations. The first version of JIXU α coefficient S has reached the "strongest on the ground" L3 level intelligent driving, and it is the first model in the industry to realize the function of urban NOA. Not long ago, BAIC also became the first company in China to obtain the L3 level autonomous driving open road test license. The BJ60 in-situ U-turn demonstration that earned eyeballs in the salon is a demonstration of BAIC's core technology in intelligent chassis.
"More energy-efficient", BAIC uses technology to continuously extend the attributes of new energy vehicles, achieving that vehicles "eat less, run farther and faster". Wang Lei cites the highly discussed "motor high speed" in the industry as an example. BAIC has the most complete motor spectrum in China, and can develop the highest speed motor in the industry, but it does not have different speeds. The single motor assembly speed in the fifth-generation motor is maintained at 22,000 rpm, and the power density is improved. The whole vehicle can be accelerated by 7 seconds and the energy consumption is reduced by more than 10%, allowing consumers to truly feel the cost reduction brought about by technological progress. For example, BAIC took the lead in equipping the 800V high-voltage super-charged battery system on models below 200,000, creating a super-charged car that ordinary people can afford.
"In the industry, safety is the greatest luxury. BAIC believes that safety is the bottom line of car building. Working hard in unseen places may never be seen, but it is really important." Wang Lei interprets "safer". BAIC products are built with crash safety standards that are higher than the industry. The energy absorption efficiency of the new energy steel and aluminum hybrid special vehicle body can be increased by 35% in a collision. The new BJ40 "integral cage body + embedded roll frame" technology is the only one in the world. The torsional stiffness of the body of JIXU over 60,000 Nm can be called a "road tank". Aurora battery maintains the record of zero spontaneous combustion since delivery. BAIC also took the lead in proposing the development concept of healthy cockpit in the industry, and is the only enterprise in the industry that has won the China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award in terms of respiratory health in the car.
