("Guangzhou Public Transport Group") was established in December 2017 and its business scope covers ground public transportation, ferry passenger transportation, taxi passenger transportation, road passenger transportation, road cargo transportation, warehousing (cold chain) logistics services, smart transportation construction, station construction management, city card, and affiliated resource development and operation. It is the largest public transportation and road transportation enterprise in South China.
First, the construction background
With the rapid development of information technology and the advent of the digital age, the information revolution represented by big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, etc. has had a revolutionary impact on the process of transportation modernization. In the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the 2035 Vision Outline, the state put forward the strategic deployment of "Accelerate digital development and build a digital China". The Ministry of Transport issued the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of digital transportation, laying the foundation for the digital transformation of the public transportation industry.
Guangzhou Public Transport Group, as an important part of Guangzhou's transportation construction, earnestly implements the national digital transformation strategy, and improves the efficiency and service quality of public transportation operations by continuously improving its own operation network.
II. Construction objectives
With the deepening of informatization construction, the operation and maintenance team of the information center is facing tremendous challenges in its work, including data dispersion, fragmentation of cloud platform resource management, inconsistent operation and maintenance tools, manual monitoring, and weak automation capabilities, resulting in reduced operation and maintenance service efficiency, slow operation of departmental cooperation processes, and bottlenecks in management improvement.
In order to further improve the operation and maintenance management of IT resources, ensure the stable operation of business systems, and improve management efficiency, Guangzhou Public Transport Group has partnered with Jiawei Technology to build a Jiawei Blue Whale smart operation and maintenance platform, landing a series of operation and maintenance scenarios, and is committed to achieving four major goals.
III. Project results
1. Jiawei Blue Whale Smart Operation and Maintenance Platform Overall Plan
By building a smart operation and maintenance platform base, Guangzhou Public Transport Group will centrally display platforms such as "configuration management", "multi-cloud management platform", "monitoring and alerting subsystem", "DevOps flow management" and "digital operation center"; by integrating third-party platforms and business data, it realizes online Cloud as a Service management and automated operation and maintenance management.
2. Build a unified application entrance to achieve unified management of heterogeneous clouds
Based on business needs, Guangzhou Public Transport Group has multiple cloud platform management accounts, and the information between the multi-cloud platforms is fragmented, making maintenance difficult. In order to solve this problem, the group introduced Jiawei Blue Whale multi-cloud management platform, unified cloud platform application entrance, and realized the docking of commonly used cloud resources. The operation and maintenance team did not need to log in to multiple cloud platforms to achieve management standardization. At the same time, relying on the base advantage of the Blue Whale PaaS platform, it also implemented scenarios such as cloud management platform discount plan customization, public cloud platform bill docking, cloud platform sales resource management, and automated delivery.

3. 100% management rate of business resources, efficient management of IT data
In the face of a huge data system, operation and maintenance personnel feel pressure. To this end, Guangzhou Public Transport Group has built Jiawei Blue Whale Configuration Management Center to conduct unified data maintenance and association topology display for the group's commonly used IT resource objects, including operating systems, databases, middleware, storage, virtualization, and application systems. The group has managed nearly 200 servers for more than 20 businesses, built 20 CMDB models, and configured nearly 300 associated instances, achieving a 100% business resource management rate.
At the same time, through the installation of Agent plug-ins in the business host, the group has opened up the data security access link, issued data collection scripts, and automatically collected key business data. At present, the data accuracy rate can reach 99%, achieving efficient IT data management.
4. Comprehensive insight into monitoring indicators, accurate alarm push
According to the actual needs of each business of the group, monitoring templates are configured, and monitoring components are issued through the platform to monitor the business system host, database and middleware. Managers and operation and maintenance personnel can accurately locate business system failures and ensure stable business operation. At present, more than 20 business monitoring configurations have been completed.
The public system is the infrastructure of a city, and its importance is self-evident. Its business continuity requirements are quite high. In order to ensure stable operation, Guangzhou Public Transport Group has built a unified alarm center tool, flexibly set monitoring indicators, accurately push alarms, and handle alarm information hierarchically to help group management and operation and maintenance personnel quickly locate system problems.
According to the source of the alarm, the alarm handler is automatically assigned, and the work order is automatically transferred.
Realize the docking email system and email notification of key alarm information.
· Realize alarm cancel out "noise" and increase info relevance, filter key alarm information, assist operation and maintenance personnel to accurately deal with system problems.
In April 2023, the disk usage space of two hosts (one host associated with shift information, the other host associated with ticketing data function) in a business of Guangzhou Public Transport Group exceeded 85%. The smart operation and maintenance platform promptly issued a disk alarm to notify the group's operation and maintenance personnel, and the business personnel dealt with it in a timely manner to successfully avoid the risk of abnormal and lost related business data.
5. Visually monitor and alarm large screens to display the full picture of the business in real time
Through digital means, we can quickly generate large screens and dashboards for operation and maintenance information visualization, displaying the operation situation of business systems and the overall picture of operation and maintenance work in real time, allowing operation and maintenance managers to better make operation and maintenance decisions and command and dispatch, and track the situation in real time to respond faster.
6. ITSM + automation realizes agile operation and maintenance management

Jiawei Blue Whale IT Service Management Center supports custom form components and API data access, and realizes the concatenation of work order scenarios between SaaS, the arrangement of alarm to work order processes, and the resource approval process of multi-cloud management platform.
2) Automated inspection improves quality and efficiency, bid farewell to manual inspection
Health inspection is one of the daily tasks of operation and maintenance personnel. Guangzhou Public Transport Group originally focused on manual inspection. Each inspection required one person per day and 30 times a year, resulting in inefficient operation and maintenance.
Now, based on the automated inspection center and existing inspection items, the inspection functions of the operating system, middleware, and database are realized, and the operation and maintenance personnel are supported to customize inspection indicators, inspection scripts, thresholds, and report display forms, so as to realize periodic and regular automated inspection scheduling. After the automated inspection center was put into use, each inspection by the operation and maintenance personnel of Guangzhou Public Transport Group took only 5 minutes, the inspection automation rate was increased by 80%, and the overall efficiency of the inspection work was increased by 100%.
IV. Looking to the future
The implementation of Jiawei Blue Whale's smart operation and maintenance platform has broken the internal operation and maintenance barriers of the group, greatly improved the operation and maintenance efficiency, and achieved cost reduction and efficiency increase, which has won unanimous praise from the group.
