/PRZWT/February 23, 2024 BEIJING - According to the latest data from the National Energy Administration, China's total installed renewable energy generation capacity reached 1.322 billion kilowatts by the end of June 2023, of which wind power installed capacity reached 390 million kilowatts, accounting for about 30% of renewable energy, indicating that wind energy has become an important source of renewable energy worldwide, so how to use wind energy efficiently is a top priority.

However, traditional wind turbine blades are handmade with polymer matrix composites, which are susceptible to irregular and complex load damage, which can lead to reduced power generation, shortened life and increased maintenance costs. Therefore, non-destructive testing (NDT) of wind turbine blades to identify surface and internal defects is necessary to ensure the continuous operation of wind turbines. To this end, the HOTS studio team from Nanchang Hangkong University spent two years innovatively developing the country's first orbit-based cruise inspection drone based on microwave detection technology, which attracted the attention of the industry.

This drone has the advantages of high precision, high efficiency and high cost performance. The four core technologies are all leading in the country. Among them, the R & D rectangular 23.0mm × 10.2mm waveguide probe is matched with the orbit determination cruise system. The detection accuracy of the outer composite material and fiber cloth defects on the windward side, leading edge, trailing edge and other positions of the generator blade can reach 100% full coverage;. In addition, the new microwave detection technology also found cracking at the joint in the wind turbine blade. The application of this technology will greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of wind power equipment detection, providing strong support for the sustainable development of the wind power industry.

Based on the broad prospect of future drone development, Hots Studio purchases drone basic hardware from large enterprises such as Tuosi Technology and Stellar Vision and reaches a cooperative relationship in manufacturing and marketing, and then sells it to a series of national large power stations such as Inner Mongolia Wind Power and Shandong Offshore Wind Power Base. It plans to implement a market penetration strategy from 2023 to 2024, strengthen technical barriers, and achieve a 10% market share in China; implement a market expansion strategy from 2025 to 2026 to open up international markets, with domestic and foreign market shares reaching 25% and 55% respectively; implement a market leadership strategy from 2027 to 8 to 2028 to achieve product diversification, with domestic and foreign market shares reaching 40% and 15% respectively. At present, the plan has been recognized and transformed by industry experts.

The Hots team focuses on Product Research & Development and promotion in the field of renewable energy, aiming to make important contributions to the development of global renewable energy through the dual drive of technological innovation and market expansion. With the country's policy support for renewable energy and the growing market demand, the Hots team believes that China's wind power industry will achieve even more brilliant achievements in the future.
