/PRCWT/Hangzhou, December 12, 2023 - "Christmas is only true when you go to Kerry Center in Hangzhou." The annual Christmas lighting of Kerry Center in Hangzhou is a year-end ceremony eagerly awaited by the people of Hangzhou.
This year, Hangzhou Kerry Center and international contemporary artist Bradley Eastman(hereinafter called: BEASTMAN) curated the "PEACE BY PIECE Art Light Christmas Season", the first 360° colorful geometric Christmas tree, and Hangzhou to celebrate the eighth year of "Kerry Christmas". The campaign begins on December 7 and runs until January 14, 2024.

On the day of the lighting ceremony, accompanied by young violinist Dong Haoran, he played the overture with beautiful strings; "The Mix Multilingual Ensemble" of Music Without Borders performed Christmas carols in multiple languages, together with representatives of Kerry Center Hangzhou and hundreds of audience members lighting a Christmas tree installation, jointly launched the "PEACE BY PIECE Art Light Christmas Season" of Kerry Center Hangzhou.

"PEACE BY PIECE" is a five-color geometric block (Piece), combined with contemporary art and colorful light and shadow vision, with an innovative design to express the Christmas season "love" and "Peace" (Peace).
Each geometric square represents a different wish: the red Piece "LOVE" represents strength and courage; The blue Piece "PEACE" means peace and tranquility; Purple Piece "INSPIRATION" stands for inspiration and imagination; The green Piece "HOPE" represents hope and beauty; The orange Piece "WARMTH" represents warmth and warmth. Everyone finds his or her own prayer box, makes a sincere wish for himself and his or her loved ones, and brings together the five wishes of the public to pray for peace in the world. BEASTMAN, an international contemporary artist, is known for his artistic perception of natural emotions and his depiction of abstract geometric landscapes, and his work has been collected by the National Gallery of Australia. For the first time, he integrated Christmas elements with Hangzhou culture to create a colorful geometric totem full of festive atmosphere to bring good wishes to Hangzhou at the end of the year.

Three groups of contemporary art installations, "All Things Born", "Wish Symbiosis" and "Auspicious light Pieces", are distributed in different areas of Kerry Center, Hangzhou. Combined with online interactive creation and AR mini programs, the full dimension of geometric totems created in colorful colors show the vitality of the festival, inviting Hangzhou citizens to create a unique Christmas.

The creation inspiration of "Wish Symbiosis" comes from the waves and lights of the West Lake in Hangzhou, like the endless geometric totem rising from the ground. When the night falls, the neon lights and the unique patterns combine to make the whole city glow with new vitality, and become a unique immersive interactive light and shadow festival.

Standing in the L1 atrium, the nearly 9-meter colorful geometric Christmas tree is surrounded by layers of unique abstract geometric totems, each layer is a unique interpretation of the holiday spirit. This colorful geometric Christmas tree is the first 360° multi-angle experience, viewing the Christmas tree in different directions and floors, there are different interesting visual experiences. The audience can also walk into the "tree", feel the kaleidoscope of brilliant colors, geometric totems and light lines, and explore an art space full of creativity and imagination.

In order to allow each audience to have a more in-depth co-creation experience, Hangzhou Kerry Center developed a customized series of three device points AR interactive small program, not only allows the audience to customize a personal Christmas tree, uploaded to the L1 atrium screen to achieve screen fun, but also scan the three devices to find more "PEACE BY PIECE" art surprises.
