On the morning of December 2, the 8th Shanghai International Poetry Festival opened at Xujiahui Academy in Xuhui District. At the opening ceremony, the results of the 8th Shanghai International Poetry Festival "Golden Magnolia" poetry Award were announced, and Nigerian poet Wole Soyinka won the "Golden Magnolia" poetry Award. Zhao Lihong, Vice chairman of Shanghai Writers Association and Chairman of the Art Committee of Shanghai International Poetry Festival, read the award speech. Mr. Soyinka was accompanied by his wife on the stage to receive the award.
