With the acceleration of the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry, the automation and digital transformation of manufacturing industry is also facing the common problem of the shortage of technical personnel on the production site. At present, the quantity and structure of talents in China's manufacturing industry are difficult to meet the requirements of high-quality development of manufacturing industry, and the proportion of high-quality talents is obviously low. Our country will vigorously promote the training of advanced manufacturing skills represented by industrial robot to meet the development requirements of advanced manufacturing industry. Omron grasped this social issue at an early stage by virtue of its forward-looking vision. In 2010, it launched school-enterprise cooperation with Shaanxi Polytechnic College and set up "Omron Class" in Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, which is committed to cultivating more high-quality technical talents in the manufacturing industry.
In addition to traditional automation courses, Omron also dispatches industry experts and lecturers to teach students more practical knowledge and concepts in work, involving Omron's unique advanced automation technology, production management, 5S and other fields, to help students better understand the latest technology status, production process and needs of the enterprise. At the same time, Omron donated an automation training center in the college to provide students with the opportunity to synchronize their theoretical learning with the practice of automation equipment, consolidate and improve their skills, so as to become qualified technical talents in line with the urgent need of manufacturing automation production site.
Since 2011, one after another outstanding graduates have devoted themselves to the frontline manufacturing site, making up for the vacancy of high-quality technical personnel in the production site, and playing an indispensable role in accelerating the process of factory automation and intelligence. Some of them have rapidly developed into technical backbones with management experience in Omron's manufacturing enterprises.
Yang Xiaodong graduated from the first Omron class. After graduation, he worked in Omron (Shanghai) Co., LTD., engaged in production management and process improvement. Shan Zhao, who also graduated from the first Omron class, is currently working as the HAR Department head at Shanghai Omron Control Electric Company. In the work, Yamanaki not only gave full play to the working skills learned by Omron class to complete the production line pipework, but also was sent to Japan three times for further study. After the study, he applied the latest technology to the new production line, which provided technical guarantee for the successful completion of the new production line. Zhang Ke from the same company graduated from Omron Class in 2012 and is currently serving as the head of switch Manufacturing Department 3. Since the work, he has been deeply involved in front-line management, paying attention to the ability of self-improvement and the ability to solve the problem of on-site equipment, and committed to fully automated maintenance and promotion of the production line. The pace of actively cultivating manufacturing technical talents is not only limited to Shaanxi Institute of Technology. Since 2014, Omron has cooperated with Guangxi Mechanical and electrical vocational Technology, and established the first Omron class in South China. The college continues to cultivate high-quality comprehensive talents of manufacturing industry integrating with enterprises with professional courses with Omron characteristics. So far, the Omron class has cultivated 703 outstanding talents.
