On November 6, 2019, jointly sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology, Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, Unleash Secretariat, Shenzhen Industrial Design Industry Association, the global youth innovation training camp (hereinafter referred to as "UNLEASH2019") opened in Shenzhen Bay Science and Technology Ecological Park.
More than 1,500 innovative talents from more than 160 countries and regions, and representatives of the world's top companies, research institutions, foundations, non-profit organizations, investment institutions and media attended the opening ceremony.
UNLEASH2019 is the first international innovation conference landing in China after successfully holding in Denmark and Singapore. The opening ceremony also featured previous talent sharing, guest keynote speeches, art performances and interactive exchanges. Grammy Award and Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter and visual artist Peter Himmelman gave a wonderful art performance, showing different perspectives and the impact of various fields on sustainable development. It conveys the idea of lifelong learning and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.
It is reported that the event will focus on eight SDGS, including good health and well-being, affordable clean energy, industrial innovation, sustainable cities and communities, quality education, responsible consumption and production, clean water and sanitation, and climate action. There will be five stages: problem framing, thinking framework, prototype design, testing phase and implementation phase. With the professional assistance of my tutor and external experts, I will discuss and study the actual situation of Shenzhen's sustainable development and propose solutions. The theme "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" was held at Tencent Maker Space (Shenzhen). More than 100 people brainstorm ideas for building disaster-resilient infrastructure and promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization.
On the morning of November 6th, the talent welcome ceremony of SDG 9 "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" theme activity was held. Liu Xiaolin, Director of Nanshan District Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Service Center, Sun Xin, Director of Tencent Ecological Cooperation Department in South China, attended and delivered a speech. Yang Xue, Deputy Director of the Public Policy Department of Tencent, Zhao Dan, director of the Guangdong-Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area of Tencent Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Jin Peiyi, director of the Investment and Finance Department of Shenzhen Bay Technology Development Co., LTD., attended the event. Meanwhile, Tencent Innovation Space quality projects Handscape and Langogo were shared and discussed with the talents.
On the morning of November 7th, Deng Xiaojun, deputy director of Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, accompanied by Feng Changhong, executive Vice president and Secretary general of Shenzhen Industrial Design Industry Association, went to Tencent Maker Space for research. Yang Xue, deputy director of Tencent Public Policy Department, and Zhao Dan, director of Tencent Shuanghuang Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area were responsible for the reception and introduction, and communicated with young talents.
