In 2014, Tianjin will fully implement the green Building action plan, further improve building energy conservation, promote the application of renewable energy sources such as solar energy, shallow geothermal, sewage source heat pump, and promote heat energy conservation and emission reduction. Tianjin Binhai New Area actively responds to the call of the government, and will hold the 5th China (Tianjin) International Green Building and Energy Saving Technology Products Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "Green Building Energy Saving Exhibition") from September 23 to September 26. The exhibition is a distinctive sub-project of the fifth "China (Tianjin Binhai) International Eco-City Forum and Expo". It is understood that "China (Tianjin Binhai) International Eco-City Forum and Expo" started in 2010, is China's first large-scale comprehensive exhibition with the theme of eco-city construction. Data shows that this year, government investment projects, affordable housing, demonstration towns and large public buildings of 20,000 square meters or more must comply with the green building standards, focusing on promoting four large-scale green buildings such as Xinmeijiang and Tanggu South New Town, with a total of 8 million square meters of green buildings built in the year. In particular, 70 key municipal projects determined by the municipal government this year should be organized and constructed in accordance with green building standards. Meanwhile, in terms of building energy conservation, Tianjin will further improve the system of building energy efficiency evaluation, operation energy consumption supervision and building door and window signs. We carried out the renovation of residential buildings covered by heat and thermal power stations, and completed the energy-saving renovation of 9.55 million square meters of residential buildings last year. In addition, we will increase the use of renewable energy, build 20 comprehensive renewable energy stations, and reduce the proportion of primary energy used. We will promote the construction of green rural housing and promote the use of clean energy in rural areas, such as photovoltaic power generation and air source heat pump heating.
