The magnificent history of Chinese commerce needs the participants of commerce and the chroniclers together to leave the imprint of The Times in the way of publication. The corporate case books published by Blue Lion in the past ten years can connect a picture of the history of Chinese enterprises.

Founded in 2002, the Blue Lion Publishing brand has been committed to exploring and cultivating the original business reading market in China, which is a "visible mission". Behind every economic rise is the birth of a group of great companies, and corporate case studies and creation need to be treated with the same attitude as history. Blue Lion realizes this mission with the strength and wisdom of the team. Through the internal and external combination of "creation consultant + author + planning editor + process editor + responsible editor + marketing editor + enterprise", Blue Lion completes a business memory together.

Blue Lion's work flow is divided into four stages, which are:

Stage 1: Publication planning;

Stage two: book creation;

Stage three: editing and publishing;

Stage four: Marketing and promotion.

Like October pregnancy, blue lion generally with 10 months to complete, stage 1 is 1 month, stage 2 is 4 months, stage 3 is 3 months, stage 4 is 2 months.

Chinese business memory and Blue Lion's efforts are viewed from three dimensions.

First, the length of time -- Blue Lion records the business details of the age of reading

From 12 years ago to today, Blue Lion has always been the "first reader" of Chinese corporate history. In the starry sky of history, the secrets of China's big economy lie behind each company. In 2002, Blue Lion published its first business case book "Extraordinary Marketing". Up to now, it has published nearly 100 business case books. It can be said that reading solidifies the flow of business history. The companies Blue Lion has researched and published over the years outline the struggle and awakening of corporate China as the country modernizes for more than 100 years.

On this timeline: From Standard Chartered Bank in 1853 to China Gas in 1862, China Merchants Bureau in 1872, Tsingtao Beer in 1903, China Resources in 1938, Hainan Agricultural Reclamation in 1952, Drunkard Wine in 1956, Wanxiang in 1969, Huamao in 1971, TCL was founded in 1981, Zhixin was founded in 1982, and then Lenovo, Vanke, Haier and other companies in 1984. In 1984, Wu Xiaobo, a famous financial writer, wrote in Thirty Years of Agitation: "In the history of science, art history and business, when a school or country is in its heyday, a group of great people or companies will be born in a cluster in a certain year." "In the history of Chinese enterprises, this great year is 1984. Many successful companies were born in this year, which is later called the first year of modern Chinese companies. The first year of American enterprise was 1886, when France gave the Statue of Liberty to celebrate the 111-year anniversary of the founding of the United States. It was also the year of the birth of a number of companies that would become world class, including Coca-Cola.

One bright line is that the development of Chinese enterprises is closely related to China's reform and opening up. No matter the passive reform and opening up more than 100 years ago or the active reform and opening up since the 1980s, there will be some enterprises that will become the benchmark in the business history in the future.

Then came ZTE in 1985, Geely, Red Star Macalline, Unilever China in 1986, Huawei, Wahaha, Schneider Electric China in 1987, Ping An, Foxconn, Shanghai Guopai in 1988, Sany Heavy Industry in 1989, Greenland, Tonway, Beingcompany in 1992, New Oriental and Sino-Ocean Real Estate in 1993, Tencent in 1998, Alibaba in 1999, Ctrip, Baidu in 2000, Home Inns in 2002, Pelaya in 2003, Hafortis Fund, Shangpin House in 2004, Green Haotai, 7 Days Hotel, Sunshine Insurance in 2005...

There is another interesting dark line in this timeline: from the earliest brothers of Hope Group, to the classmates and workmates of Sany Heavy Industry, to the teachers and students of Alibaba, and finally, people with different specialties and like-minded people to start a business together. The "first team" of Ctrip and Home Inns is the most typical evolution of Chinese partnership.

At present, among the companies studied by Blue Lion, 53% are China's top 500 companies and the World's top 500 companies. Corporate books have become a short way to spread corporate history and culture.

Second, the width of the region -- the Blue Lion writes the contemporary commercial map of China

From east to west, Blue Lion has always been the "surveyor" of China's commercial geography. On every piece of land, every enterprise is like a thriving commercial landmark.

Blue Lion measured the growth width of the enterprise with "hands" and "feet", conducted field research and interviews, and created a record of 116 people interviewed in one and a half months. From 2012 to 2013, Blue Lion published 19 books, with a total of 6,935 working days, interviewed 565 people, and became close friends with at least 1.5 people every day. The total length of interviews was 45,000 minutes, and the total number of words recorded, listened to and played reached 88,000,000 words, equivalent to 14 Xinhua dictionaries. In addition, more than 35 cities were surveyed, with a total travel of 290,310 kilometers and 7.2 orbits of the earth.

Blue Lion in-depth research and creation of nearly 100 enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Bohai Rim region, simultaneously discover and publish the secrets behind China's regional economic rise.

Third, industry depth -- Blue Lion redefines corporate cultural value

From the past to the future, Blue Lion has never given up being the best watchman of Chinese business ideas. In the context of the new time and space, the cultural value of every enterprise needs to be rediscovered. The 86 enterprise cases that have been completed basically have a certain scale and representative value, and a Chinese enterprise management culture database has just taken shape. Moreover, the enterprise book publishing types are rich, from the company, people, events multi-dimensional research.

The operating scale of the enterprises studied by Blue Lion was less than 1 billion, 11%; 1 billion-10 billion, 33%; 10 billion-50 billion, 33%; 50 billion-100 billion, 17%; and more than 100 billion, 6%. The corporate books published by Blue Lion cover 16 major industries, and the enterprises are the industry leaders or hidden champions. The cases are both typical and representative.

In the future, Blue Lion will also carry out the "Three one Project" multimedia enterprise creation plan: using a book, a documentary, a set of blockbusters to explain the cultural value of Chinese enterprises from multiple perspectives, and create the enterprise aesthetics belonging to China.

In terms of distribution and communication, Blue Lion has gradually formed a system. Under the joint efforts of ground bookstores, airport bookstores, online bookstores, media communication and new book activities, a whole closed loop is formed, which Blue Lion calls "TAOMS Fame" distribution and communication system. And let the Blue Lion and business together spread the beauty of business.

History lies in the common cultural actions of business practitioners and business chroniclers. In the new political and economic cycle and mobile Internet era, the transformation of Chinese enterprises is still on the road, and its gradual path and speed are still full of uncertainties. The rise and trend of Chinese enterprises are difficult to conceptualize in the existing Western management theory, nor can they be simply compared with the previous inherent business models. However, Blue Lion believes that in the history of world business, "Chinese company" will become a specific concept of a certain kind of company, along with "American company" and "Japanese company." Let business participants and chroniclers together, in the way of writing and publishing, contribute Chinese business ideas to the world. That's what we all want, and it depends on what we can do together right now.
