Recently, Guangdong Enterprise Confederation and Guangdong Entrepreneurs Association released the list of Top 500 Enterprises in Guangdong Province in 2015. Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd. won the titles of "Top 500 Enterprises in Guangdong Province" (75th) and "Top 100 Manufacturing Industries in Guangdong Province" (26th) for the 14th consecutive year.
The above two awards were selected by the expert committee based on the business revenue of enterprises in 2015 and with comprehensive reference to other business indicators of enterprises under the strong support of economic and information technology departments at all levels, enterprise association system and industry association of Guangdong Province. The selection of the Top 100 Enterprises in Guangdong Province aims to thoroughly implement the policies of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and government on supporting large backbone enterprises, promote large enterprises in Guangdong Province to further improve their efficiency and quality, give full play to the demonstration and leading role of large enterprises, and cultivate and develop more large backbone enterprises.
In recent years, Hitachi Elevator constantly pursues technological innovation, and comprehensively promotes the development of vertical transportation system for urban buildings. In 2015, at the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Hitachi Elevator (China), Hitachi Elevator achieved a sales breakthrough of 500,000 units, and its operating income again exceeded 19 billion yuan, setting a new milestone in the development process of the enterprise. Specially designed for Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Financial Center, a super high speed elevator (*1) with a sub-speed of 1,200m(72km/h) will be put into use in autumn 2016. In a test run on May 14, Hitachi verified that the ultra-high speed elevator reached its rated speed of 1,200m. Sub-speed 1,200m elevator is the highest speed elevator in the world.
