/PRZWT/ Recently, the world's first "Robot Ascending Tower Challenge" was grandly launched at the 450-meter observation deck of Guangzhou Tower. This robot competition focusing on complex high-altitude environments brought together 11 participating robots from top enterprises, covering multiple categories such as bipedal humanoid, multi-legged, wheeled multi-form, and exoskeleton. It was a peak showdown of technology and performance. In the end, the wheeled quadruped robot PUDU D5 from Shenzhen Pudui Technology Co., Ltd., with an excellent score of 13.01 seconds, significantly outperformed the second-place winner Yushu Go2-W, successfully claiming the championship of the wheeled quadruped robot category and winning the Best Technological Innovation Award, demonstrating strong technical strength.
As the world's first robot climbing competition held in an outdoor high-altitude environment, this challenge not only tests the speed and stability of the robots, but also imposes strict tests on their environmental adaptability, motion control algorithms, and multi-scenario compatibility. The competition track was set on the arc-shaped rotating steps of the 112th floor of Guangzhou Tower, with a vertical climbing height of 10 meters. The uneven height of the steps also added to the difficulty of the challenge. The victory of PUDU D5 is a direct proof of its outstanding performance and stable technical capabilities.
PUDU D5 is a new generation of industry-level autonomous navigation quadruped robot officially released by Purdu Robotics on December 3, 2025. It is specially designed for complex, unstructured and large-area outdoor environments, offering two versions: wheel-legged and point-legged. Relying on ultra-high computing power autonomous navigation technology, multi-modal interaction functions, all-terrain passing capability and IP67-level protection grade, this product can efficiently complete core tasks such as inspection, transportation and exploration in various complex scenarios. Within less than a month of its launch, PUDU D5 has received a large number of orders from both domestic and overseas markets, and has also received high attention and recognition from many media.
At the application level, the PUDU D5 demonstrates remarkable versatility: it can perform routine inspections and issue abnormal alerts in scenarios such as parks, factories, power stations, and storage bases; in large-scale parks and factory production lines, its strong load capacity can meet the requirements for material transportation and storage allocation; in scenic spots, commercial complexes, and exhibition sites, it can undertake service tasks such as guiding and material distribution; in universities and research institutions, it can also serve as a physical intelligence research and teaching platform, hosting cutting-edge algorithm experiments and interactive design work.
It is worth noting that, relying on the complete product portfolio of Pudu Robots and the comprehensive layout of various forms of embodied intelligence such as dedicated, humanoid, and human-like, PUDU D5 can seamlessly collaborate with all models of Pudu robots, fully meeting the diverse needs of users. Previously, in the CCTV "World Robot Skills Competition" program, D5 collaborated with multiple cross-form robots such as Pudu's cat-shaped robot Bella Pro and industrial delivery robot T300, demonstrating the powerful "one brain, multiple forms" technical capability of Pudu robots.
The victory in this climbing challenge further validates the stable performance and advanced technical strength of PUDU D5. In the future, PUDU D5 will continue to address the shortcomings of service robots in non-structured terrains and special environments, and combine with the collaborative capabilities of Pudui's full-form robots to provide full-scenario embodied intelligent solutions for multiple scenarios such as industrial inspection, indoor and outdoor security in transportation hubs, etc., leading the global commercialization and implementation of multi-form embodied intelligent robots.
