/PRZWT/On October 22nd, the signing ceremony and partner conference of the 2025 Ningfu New Energy Large Cylindrical Battery Project with the theme of "Ningxin Gathering Chains, Sharing a Bright Future Together" was held in Nanning, Guangxi. At the concurrent new product launch event of fluorine core batteries, Ningfu New Energy officially introduced the new generation of full-tab "fluorine core" large cylindrical battery series products to the world.

This series of products is precisely targeted at four major application scenarios, namely electric vehicles, automotive start-stop batteries, light vehicle operation batteries, mobile energy storage and home energy storage, providing customized energy support for different fields.

It is understood that in the current domestic market for small power, small energy storage and short-range electric vehicles, where 20-100Ah batteries are widely used, due to the disorder of industry products, unstable reliability and inconsistent technical routes, there are common problems such as high self-discharge, short calendar life, low input-output efficiency and high structural safety risks.

"We have redefined the product and market choices in the 20-100Ah range, from the 40 series, 46 series to the 60 series and 65 series. In each market segment, Dofuo has launched the most advanced products in the market. Moreover, the large cylindrical series has successfully created a category and set a new standard for industry selection." With advanced technology, minimalist manufacturing, and three generations of patent iterations, Duofu has redefined the 20-100Ah battery market

Reliability is the lifeline of power batteries. One of the core advantages of fluorine core large cylindrical batteries stems from the "one-piece slitting" electrode sheet process adopted by large cylindrical batteries. According to Xu Fei, the "one-piece slitting" electrode sheet process can achieve the shortest total circumference of electrode sheet cutting under the same capacity. Combined with edge-coated ceramic technology, it further suppresses the risk of burrs. Compared with laminated batteries and battery products in multi-slitting mode, it greatly enhances the safety and consistency of the products and performs better in reliability control.

Under the same capacity, the total perimeter of the edge cutting of our large cylindrical battery electrode sheets is the shortest among all forms. A shorter cutting path means fewer potential burr generation points. Xu Fei said.

In the manufacturing process, fluorine core large cylindrical batteries adopt integrated coating, rolling and slitting, combined with full TAB direct winding and forming, which greatly simplifies the process flow. Xu Fei emphasized that this not only enhanced the process efficiency but also significantly reduced the overall manufacturing cost, giving us a distinct advantage in large-scale mass production.

Although large cylinders have become a hot topic in the industry, there are still significant differences in solutions and technical levels among different manufacturers. For instance, inherent problems of mechanical seals and the complexity of the double-sided outlet structure may pose significant challenges to performance and cost, and even affect safety.

Through the minimalist and reliable single-sided structure of the aluminum shell, Duofu Duo has successfully solved problems such as complex processes, rusting, and leakage. This design simplifies the welding process, further enhancing safety and reliability, while achieving better cost control.

According to Xu Fei, the multi-fluorine large cylindrical battery has undergone three generations of technological iterations, achieving comprehensive optimization in battery performance, reliability, safety and cost control. At present, this product has achieved full-load mass production in the two major bases of Jiaozuo and Nanning, and has been granted 80 patents, forming an independently controllable technical system.

At the end of the technology release session, Xu Fei summarized the core advantages of the third-generation full-tab large cylindrical battery of Dofuoduo: it features a "bidirectional explosion-proof" structure and achieves the safety goal of "0 failure". The single-side manifold design significantly reduces the manufacturing cost of the PACK, with the manufacturing cost dropping by 18%. Combined with the brand-new CTC structure, the assembly rate has increased by 15%, further consolidating its position as the "king of cost performance" in power batteries.

Comprehensively covering four major application scenarios, fluorine core batteries have broken the industry pattern

Domestic 20-100Ah batteries have a wide range of application scenarios. For different application scenarios, fluorine core batteries precisely covered four major application scenarios at this press conference, namely electric vehicles, automotive start-stop batteries, light vehicle operation batteries, mobile energy storage and home energy storage, providing customized energy support for different fields.

Firstly, there is the 60/65 structure large cylindrical product launched for the mainstream 300-400km electric vehicle market. It features "universal compatibility, durability, and never igniting", and can be equipped with multiple components in one core, meeting the assembly requirements of different system structures and having excellent compatibility.

The battery cells adopt a modified lithium iron phosphate material system. By micro-regulating the distribution of primary grains, the ion diffusion coefficient is enhanced, and the cycle life is strong. When the system is assembled, it can meet the vehicle's usage requirements for at least 10 years and 250,000 kilometers. Xu Fei stated that this is "the best choice for new energy vehicles with a mileage of around 300 to 400 kilometers."

In terms of safety, the fluorine core battery adopts a dual-sided explosion-proof design and an integrated system thermoelectric separation structure to ensure the stability of high-voltage connections. At the same time, it is designed with a special smoke exhaust channel. The efficient CTC structure also features a high-strength structure, fulfilling the safety commitment of never catching fire.

The second product is specifically designed for start-stop power supply application scenarios. It adopts a large cylindrical battery with a multi-fluorine core, enabling one-button start at -40℃, 500,000 start-stop cycles without worry, and zero thermal runaway for safe start-stop. We aim to implement the entire vehicle, whether it is a new energy vehicle or a fuel vehicle, using the all-lug new generation cylindrical solution. Xu Fei said.

For extremely cold working conditions, fluorine core batteries have developed special fluorine-containing additives to improve the characteristics of the negative electrode SEI and the electrolyte solvent, optimizing the ionic conductivity and SEI impedance at low temperatures. Even at -40℃ and low SOC conditions, "one-click start" can still be achieved.

In addition, this product has constructed a 3D conductive network, creating high-speed channels for ions and electrons, enhancing the life of high-current cycles, and supporting over 500,000 start-stop cycles. And it meets the coupling tests under different extreme abuse conditions. The battery still maintains "0 thermal runaway" under extreme conditions, ensuring the safety of the start-stop system throughout the process.

The third product is positioned for home energy storage and mobile energy storage. It adopts a 72V70Ah large cylindrical high-voltage platform to enhance charging and discharging efficiency and system compatibility.

At present, the industry generally adopts the "low voltage high capacity" solution of large-capacity square batteries (100-314Ah) for 5-kilowatt-hour stacked household energy storage. "Firstly, the charging and discharging efficiency is low. Secondly, the heat generation is high. Long-term use of high current and low voltage will also bring great safety hazards." Xu Fei said. The newly launched Duofu 5 Degree Home Storage has effectively addressed the aforementioned issues through pressurization and flow reduction.

The fourth product is targeted at light vehicles and battery swapping scenarios. Specifically, in applications such as the new national standard electric bicycles, electric mopeds, leisure tricycles, and battery swapping, the large cylindrical products of Polyfluoro can meet various different scenarios and correspond to different product strategies.

For the 48V24Ah new national standard battery pack of the new national standard electric bicycle, a dual explosion-proof valve design for the battery + a specific smoke exhaust channel design for the module + a metal outer shell are adopted to ensure the safety and reliability of the system in case of thermal runaway. Meanwhile, the three-dimensional fixation of the module and the box body makes the battery pack fearless of vibration, shock and drop, and has greater structural stability. The double-rubber sealing structure between the box cover and the box body ensures IP67 waterproofing. In various extreme abuse tests, including under the conditions of coupling multiple scenarios and simultaneous triggering of two batteries, the battery pack is guaranteed to never catch fire.

For the 64V45Ah and 72V40Ah battery packs in the battery swapping and operation fields, Duofu mostly uses lithium iron phosphate or lithium manganese iron phosphate to replace the traditional ternary batteries of electric motorcycles, enhancing safety and reducing costs. In terms of structural design, it features a metal box body that is resistant to violence. It is sealed with double glue and protected from wind and rain. With triple protection, the battery pack will never catch fire. In terms of product dimensions, the entire terminal battery swap cabinet adopts a uniform standard size, which is unified to 64V and 72V in accordance with the new electric motorcycle standard, and is suitable for electric motorcycle battery swapping and three-wheeled scenarios.
