/PRZWT/On September 4, 2025, MAMMOTION, a global smart garden robot brand, officially released its self-developed Tri-Fusion triple fusion positioning system, completely rewriting the technical standard of the autonomous lawn care industry. This breakthrough solution, developed by Mammotion Atlas Laboratory over nine years, is the first time in the world that LiDAR, real-time dynamic positioning (RTK) and vision are integrated into the same navigation platform, which can provide unparalleled ± 1 cm accuracy. According to the environment and lawn characteristics, it can automatically switch the optimal positioning module, which is suitable for all lawn types, terrain and lighting conditions.
During the IFA 2025 exhibition, Kumar MAMMOTION will bring a real-time demonstration of the whole line of smart garden products. Including the first LUBA mini AWD LiDAR lawn mowing robot equipped with Tri-Fusion triple fusion positioning system; the YUKA mini Vision lawn mowing robot with tri-visual perception solution; the LUBA 2 AWD four-wheel drive lawn mowing robot invented by Time Magazine in 2024; and the brand's first wireless pool cleaning robot SPINO E1. Kumar is promoting the era of intelligent garden robots into full autonomy with the dual ecological layout of "lawn + pool".
Technology Breaking the Wall: From "Single Sense" to "Triple Fusion"
At present, the lawn mowing robot industry is gradually moving from "physical boundary line" to "wireless navigation", but the mainstream technology is still stuck in single or dual sensor solutions, facing significant environmental adaptation bottlenecks: for lawns with an area of less than 1500 square meters, LiDAR can provide high-precision positioning, but it is easy to be misaligned in open areas without reference points. RTK signals are affected by buildings or trees, and pure vision solutions are unstable in low-light conditions. For lawns with an area larger than 1500 square meters, LiDAR's accuracy decreases due to sparse reflection points, so RTK, which is suitable for large-scale operations and can provide high-precision satellite positioning, is essential.
The Tri-Fusion triple fusion positioning system uses Kumar's self-developed multi-sensor fusion algorithm to coordinate LiDAR, RTK and AI Vision in real time to build a dynamic complementary positioning network, which not only reaches a new height in accuracy (± 1cm), but also has adaptive and switching capabilities. The system selects the optimal positioning module based on real-time environmental data - such as lighting changes, obstacle density, terrain fluctuations, and satellite signal strength - to achieve true all-scene stable navigation.
At the same time, users do not need to set up physical boundaries or additional base stations, which greatly reduces the installation complexity and enables a "ready-to-use" intelligent experience.
IFA 2025 Kuma full line of new products
1. Lawn mowing robot series
LUBA mini AWD LiDAR: equipped with Tri-Fusion positioning system (LiDAR + RTK + VISION), providing ± 1 cm accuracy, and automatically switching the optimal positioning module according to the environment and lawn characteristics, suitable for various complex courtyard environments;
YUKA mini Vision: Quick installation in one minute, subverting the fastest installation record in the industry, equipped with trinocular visual perception technology, it can automatically create pictures and cut grass when turned on;
LUBA 2 AWD: the world's first four-wheel drive omnidirectional wheel product form, specially designed for large areas and complex terrain (coverage area up to 10,000 square meters);
2. Wireless pool cleaning robot
SPINO E1: Breaking through the industry's inherent logic of "functional castration" for entry-level models, the innovative model is equipped with a number of professional-level cleaning technologies, including 5,800 GPH cleaning power, 3.5 super long battery life cleaning 150 square meters, SmartArc intelligent path planning, and five-dimensional cleaning mode moment certificate.
Jayden, chief executive of Kumar Technologies, said: "We are very excited to be the first to overcome the technical barrier of triple fusion positioning. Tri-Fusion is like equipping a lawnmower robot with a never-tiring navigation expert. It can always choose the optimal solution regardless of the environment, and the only thing the user has to do is press the start button."
The Tri-Fusion triple fusion positioning system released by Kumar MAMMOTION this time has overcome the long-standing problem of "stuck neck" in the industry, and achieved centimeter-level positioning in the whole scene on the lawn mowing robot for the first time, fundamentally improving the navigation stability in complex courtyard environments.
The launch of this system marks the official completion of the lawn mowing robot industry - a strategic leap from the 1.0 era (physical boundary line), the 2.0 stage (dual sensor fusion), to the 3.0 era (triple integration of LiDAR, RTK and Vision), setting a new technical standard for the next generation of high-end intelligent lawn mowing robots.
