/PRZWT/At the crossroads of technology and humanities, there are always innovations destined to change the way the world works. When the hearing-impaired put on their glasses and "saw" the voice for the first time, and said in surprise, "I can see the text on it very accurately," the silent world echoed warmly.

This moving scene appeared in the recently broadcast "Cheers for You" program of Beijing Satellite TV (BRTV). The AR subtitle glasses that act as a "communication bridge" are from LLVISION founded by the current protagonist Wu Fei. Eleven years ago, Wu Fei and the start-up team huddled in a simple white-walled room, starting the long journey from "parts" to "products" and from "seeing" to "understanding".

At this moment, he is more like an engineer who pursues the ultimate, rather than an entrepreneur in the traditional sense: with eleven years of persistence, he has interpreted what is "technology for good" and what is the power of China's hard technology to break the wall.

From "seeing" to "understanding", an engineer's "obsession with kindness"

If technology cannot solve the real needs of people, it can only be reduced to technical flaunting. To make AR glasses go from "seeing" the world to "understanding" the world, although the word is different, the technology required and the experience brought are worlds apart.

Wu Fei's requirements for products are almost strict. There are more than 100 rigid principles about product design within the company, but it is also this almost rigorous pursuit that not only shapes the team's unique R & D temperament, but also creates LLVISION's strong R & D capabilities.

This extreme comes from the engineer's base color: the coexistence of reason and compassion. For him, AR subtitle glasses are not just a piece of hardware, but also a "communicator of the silent world", which transforms the hearing-impaired from a "caregiver" who relies on outside help to an "equal participant" who can express and communicate independently, allowing the silent corner to be bathed in the light of sound.

Eleven years of grinding a "mirror", high-intensity research and development investment has created hard core strength

From the embarrassing experience of initially soldering five chips but all failed, to gradually overcoming technical difficulties and winning international market orders; from trial and error in the laboratory to finally realizing the mass production of mature products - Wu Fei led LLVISION with eleven years of persistence, explaining the hardships and gains of innovation.

In the "Cheers for You" program, Wu Fei led the team to conquer the details of the "impossible triangle" of AR glasses: LLVISION second-generation AR subtitle glasses can work stably even in noisy environments, and the whole machine weighs only 49 grams, and can run continuously for 8 hours. The core technology of the product is autonomous and controllable, the localization rate reaches 100%, and the comprehensive performance is in an international leading position. Behind this is the ultimate pragmatism, insisting on investing every penny in the research and development of optical modules and algorithms, becoming the entrance of human-machine interaction for voice visualization.

LLVISION's R & D investment intensity is as high as 60%. Continuous financial support is required to promote high-intensity R & D for many consecutive years. Among them, the research and development cost of ultra-short focus AR optical modules is particularly high, accounting for about two-thirds of the overall investment. Beijing has provided continuous support in terms of capital and business environment. In the past three years, LLVISION has applied for a total of 187 patents, of which more than 60% are invention patents. It has successfully realized the full-link self-research of core technologies such as optical modules and algorithm engines, and has become one of the few hard technology enterprises in China's AR field with the ability to break through the underlying technology.

Technology for good is never a slogan. Eleven years ago, Wu Fei led LLVISION on a "no-man's road" for AR glasses. Eleven years later, LLVISION has made AR glasses gradually move from enterprise-level to consumer-level with its leading technology. As Wu Fei said in the program, "Innovation is like studying hard for the college entrance examination. There is no shortcut, only perseverance and constantly facing difficulties. Even if you encounter failure, you will learn from it and make an attempt go more steadily and farther."
