At 8 am on November 23, on the bank of Chenghai, Yongsheng County, Lijiang, Yunnan, more than 500 outdoor sports enthusiasts joined hands to come to the 2024 Yunnan Nine Plateau Lakes Landscape League, starting with love and expectation for the nine plateau lakes.
The event is "connected" to convey infinite charm
From November 23rd to 24th, the 2024 Yunnan Nine Plateau Lakes Landscape League ushered in the first stop, Chenghai-Lugu Lake Station, and the competitors had to run the two lakes in two days. The track length of Chenghai-Lugu Lake Station is about 50 kilometers and 56 kilometers, and there are two groups: the Individual Challenge Around the Lake and the Hundred Regiments War · Team Round the Lake Relay Race. Among them, the Hundred Regiments War · Team Round the Lake Relay Race group has four participants per team.
After the launch of the first stop of Chenghai-Lugu Lake, a new sports brand event was created with nine plateau lakes as a series and outdoor sports events as a carrier, which is actively conveying the infinite charm of the "connection" of outdoor sports events.
"Cheng Hai's track is so beautiful!" This is almost the consensus of all the competitors. Looking at the "sea" sky and the blue sky under your feet, Cheng Hai's infinite scenery gave everyone a surprise. While immersing in the charm of the Nine Lakes, it also made people think. "After running a few kilometers, the beautiful Cheng Hai on the right side of the track and the olive forest on the mountain on the left made me dream of returning to Athens." Tang Lijuan, a runner who participated in the Athens Marathon, was full of praise for the track.
Ren Tianyu, from Xi'an, said: "I know there are nine lakes in Yunnan, and now I can run around them in the form of running, which is very exciting. Today's track is really beautiful."
After a 50-kilometer battle, the top three men in the Individual Round the Lake Challenge were Zhao Hu, Shen Jiasheng and He Fujun; the top three women were won by Xiong Binbin, Zheng Wenrong and Li Ying respectively; the Hundred Regiments Battle Team Relay was won by Anta Champion, Easy Run and Dali Special Battle Team 1 respectively. Zhao Hu, the men's champion of the Individual Round the Lake Challenge, is a player from Guizhou. He said: "The scenery of Yunnan is so fascinating. Before this, I didn't know about Yunnan Jiuhu. Now I hope to follow this competition and practice with the competition to experience Yunnan lake culture together."
Since its inception, the Yunnan Jiuhu League has been more than just a simple sports event, but also a comprehensive sports event that integrates sports, culture, tourism, ecology, etc. The event focuses on the concept of "union", connects all things with events, and helps ethnic unity and rural revitalization with events.
In order to ensure the smooth holding of the competition, the organizing committee and relevant departments held a coordination meeting before the competition to arrange and deploy various guarantee work during the competition. At the same time, the event organizing committee invested more than 200 staff, volunteers and referees in Chenghai Station and Lugu Lake Station to do a good job in the event.
On the track, the competitors are obsessed with the local chicken rice noodles supplied by the competition. According to Wang Peisen of the logistics provider of this event, "The supplies for the competition are all made by our local local chickens, and I hope everyone can taste the local taste. There are also citrus oranges grown by us on the track, which are also native products. Of course, everyone should be warmly received when they come to our Yongsheng competition."

Yongsheng Chenghai, as one of the nine plateau lakes in Yunnan, is known as the "Pearl of the Plateau in Northwest Yunnan". It carries a heavy history and culture and has unique natural scenery.
Speaking of Yongsheng, the locals can talk endlessly, but they are full of surprises for the competitors. Many competitors have never been to Chenghai before, and through the event, they have been completely "fascinated" by Chenghai's scenery, humanities and cuisine. Rui Yuanfang, director of the Yongsheng County Cultural Tourism Bureau, was also infected by the enthusiastic runners at the event site. According to her, Yongsheng County can be called the back garden of Lijiang, with beautiful nine lakes and rich cultural support. It has natural advantages for the development of health care. Now these resource advantages are being promoted through sports events, which is a very good opportunity to promote the development of tourism in the city.
"When we were trying to develop a unique agricultural tourism industry, we met the Yunnan Jiuhu League. It was a two-way journey," Mr. Rui said.
It is reported that the Yunnan nine plateau lakes landscape league built by the Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau will use the outdoor sports league as the core for three years to connect the natural resources of the nine plateau lakes in Yunnan and help the economic and social development of each lake territory.
