/PRZWT/BEIJING, Nov. 26, 2024 - This one-way camera and black lacquer version of the classic prime lens showcase Leica's iconic design and much-admired finish.
November 21, 2024, Chinese mainland. Leica Camera Company presents the latest M camera and a classic M lens with an elegant appearance: the Leica M11 Black Lacquer Edition and the Leica Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH. Black Lacquer Edition. The design highlights Leica's decades-old unique aesthetic philosophy and craftsmanship. The M-System is one of a kind and is synonymous with the Leica brand. The Range Camera tells a revolutionary story of the M3, which began in 1954, and is deeply intertwined with the historic Leica company. The unique, exclusive design version is almost as old as the history of the M camera itself.
The camera's glossy black paint is the purest and most powerful expression of a classic Leica look. The camera's surface gradually reveals a brass color after years of frequent use, giving it a unique gloss that tells its own story. In 1962, the first Leica M3 camera with this elegant paint finish was introduced and was enthusiastically sought after.
The new Leica M11 camera combines the cutting-edge technology of the range with classic design elements. The camera's brass top cover, dial and switches are covered in bright black paint. In addition, the engraved "Leica" on the top cover and the bright silver chrome shutter button are elegantly decorated, reminiscent of the ancient M camera. The fine cross-knurled texture on the shutter dial and ISO dial also reflects Leica's attention to detail.
Finally, the design of the Leica red dot logo was deliberately omitted from the fuselage to reflect the understated elegance and beauty of the M camera - which is highly regarded by photographers around the world.
Leica Camera also introduced the black lacquer version of the Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH. lens, which makes this classic lens sold separately a perfect match for the bright black lacquer M camera in appearance. This special design is based on this series of lenses and is known for its excellent image quality, large aperture and unique out-of-focus imaging. The black lacquer version comes with a circular lens hood, both front and rear lens covers are in bright black lacquer and have a red "foot" scale.
