"50"old factory building,setting a number of"firsts"
Located at No.570 Huaihai West Road,it was built in 1956 and covers an area of 1,000 square meters.In February 1956,Yongji Steel Leather Factory and other six enterprises merged to form Shanghai Tenth Steel Plant;on October 18,1996,Shanghai Tenth Steel Plant was restructured into Shanghai Ten Steel Co.,Ltd.
Here not only achieved a number of"firsts",but also carried the struggles and passions of a generation.In 1958,China's first cold-rolled cold-formed steel workshop was built here for production;in 1971,China's first hot-dip tin sheet operation line was completed,filling the gap in China's tin sheet production.Shanghai Iron and Steel No.10 Plant has witnessed the development history of Shanghai's modern iron and steel industry,especially the birth,growth,prosperity and transformation of state-owned iron and steel enterprises after the 1950s,and has high historical value.The architectural features of the plant,such as clear water red bricks,high windows on the facade,single-span steel structure roof trusses,aircraft frames,quenching pools,etc.,reflect China's requirements for special steel production,technology and process in the early stage of industrialization,and reflect the improvement of the aesthetic design and construction level of industrial buildings in a specific era.
In the second half of the 1990s,the steel production function in the original factory area was gradually shut down or relocated to the suburbs,some old factories were demolished,and the factory area was in a state of semi-abandoned and disorderly use.In 2005,the original cold rolling workshop and the original annealing furnace workshop were renovated and transformed into Shanghai Urban Sculpture Art Center,realizing the"cultural superposition"of industrial heritage and carrying the emotional memory of urban development.The following year,it was officially awarded the"New Ten Steel Shanghai Creative Industry Agglomeration Area".From 2007 to 2008,the original pickling process workshop was transformed into Minsheng Modern Art Museum.By the end of 2008,Hongfang Cultural and Art Community was formed.On April 4,2014,it was announced as the Shanghai Antiquities Protection Unit.In 2017,Shanghai Baosteel Changning Real Estate Co.,Ltd.applied for the protective repair and sustainable reuse of the former site of the cold-rolled strip workshop of Shanghai Steel No.10 Plant.After the repair is completed,its cultural exhibition function will continue.

Since its premiere in 1991,The Blue Man Show has had a global audience of more than 50 million people.It has not only been nominated for Grammy Awards and Emmy Awards,but also appeared in numerous popular cultural elements in various countries.According to reports,the performance uses the original imported Fu Hua Dao,carefully crafted by the original team of The Blue Man Show,and performed by senior Blue Man actors.Among the classics and innovations,the performance has been fully upgraded and integrated with magical urban elements.
During this year's National Day holiday,Shanghai's new landmark A.F.A.will join hands with the Graffiti Art Museum to create the first exhibition of the Graffiti Art Museum in China,allowing citizens to experience the creative and vivid graffiti culture by clocking in over 100 famous graffiti works.The exhibition will last for three months and will bring together influential graffiti art works from all over the world to bring a visual feast to the citizens.
The Graffiti Art Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to graffiti art,setting the stage for artists to express themselves and showcasing the work of renowned graffiti artists of the past and modern times.Over the years,this open-air art museum has become a vibrant and diverse community.
During the exhibition,graffiti-infested scenes such as subway stations,skate parks,campuses,and record stores will be recreated on site to create an immersive exhibition atmosphere.Famous graffiti artists such as JonOne and Vance,leading graffiti artists from America,Asia,Europe,and other parts of the world,and Alan Ket,co-founder of Graffiti Museum,will create on-site spray painting through graphic painting,theme space,and multimedia interaction.
Presented by Shanghai A.F.A and SuperELLE magazine,the prelude to the exhibition will bring a cross-border dialogue between art and fashion in the form of a"Super∞Infinite Party"preview event.During the exhibition,a series of work shopping activities will also be held,and joint limited-edition art merchandise will be launched,providing art lovers with the opportunity to experience and explore graffiti art firsthand.
