/PRZWT/SHENZHEN,October 25,2024-Panasonic's updated LUMIX S5D is a hybrid full-frame size mirrorless camera that excels in both video and photography,making it ideal for professional videographers and everyday photographers.
We built on the compact design of the original LUMIX S5 with DJI LiDAR autofocus*.When the LUMIXS5D is paired with a DJI LiDAR rangefinder module and a DJI RS3 Pro gimbal,the rangefinder information is sent to the camera via USB and the camera drives the focus,eliminating the need for a focus motor.With a more compact size and greater shooting freedom,easier operation is possible.In addition,there is no need for lens calibration adjustments,saving setup time.The camera's lidar has 43,200 high-speed ranging points at a distance of 14 meters,allowing for faster autofocus,which is very effective even in low-light environments.
In addition,the LUMIX S5D is equipped with all the features of the LUMIX S5,with a 24.2-megapixel 35mm full-frame size CMOS sensor providing high dynamic range and high sensitivity performance,and using dual native ISO technology to achieve high-definition video shooting at up to 51200 sensitivity.

Excellent video recording performance,capable of producing cinema-level movies
The LUMIX S5D has robust video performance and is capable of 4K 60p/50p 4:2:0 10bit and 4K 30p/25p 4:2:2 10bit internal recording for up to 30 minutes.It also supports 4K 60p/50p 4:2:2 10bitHDMI output.(There is no time limit for 4K 30p/25p 4:2:0 8bit internal recording.)
In addition to C4K video recording,the LUMIX S5D can output RAW video data to the ATOMOS NINJA V via HDMI,with resolutions of 5.9K(5888x3312)29.97p/25p,4.1K(4128x2176)59.94p/50p,and support for morphing video 3.5K(3536x2656)/50p.In addition,it also provides a variety of video recording auxiliary features,such as vector range display,master base adjustment,and SS gain adjustment operations(SEC/ISO,ANGLE/ISO,SEC/dB).
The LUMIX S5D has a dynamic range of more than 14 stops,almost the same as some Panasonic movie cameras,and can accurately reproduce all areas from dark to light.A camera capable of capturing accurate color and skin tone is what any filmmaker needs.The LUMIX S5D has the same color science as the Panasonic VariCam series,as well as V-Log/V-Gamut.
With S&Q Video Mode,4K(1-60fps,30x fast to 2.5x slow)or FHD(1-180fps,60x fast to 7.5x slow)slow and fast video shooting is possible.

Five-axis dual-effect image stabilization suppresses blurry jitter,achieving high image quality even in low-light environments
The LUMIX S5D has a wide dynamic range and can reproduce sharp and sharp images.It effectively reduces noise even when shooting at high sensitivity up to ISO 51200,making it an ideal camera for use in low-light environments.
The LUMIX S5D uses dual native ISO sensitivity,an important technology introduced by Panasonic's VariCam series of professional movie cameras.Normally,as the sensitivity of a single native ISO image sensor increases,so does noise.However,the S5D's dual native ISO image sensor selects the best circuit according to the sensitivity before gain processing,effectively reducing the generation of noise.Therefore,it allows high-sensitivity shooting up to ISO 51200.The dual native ISO provides film creators with more artistic options and can save time by reducing the use of light on the shooting scene.The dual native ISO of the LUMIX S5D is 640 and 4000 respectively.
The LUMIX S5D integrates the body I.S.(Image Stabilizer)for a powerful hand-held stabilization effect.Panasonic has developed an algorithm that can accurately calculate not only the shake information obtained from the gyroscope,but also from the image sensor and acceleration sensor.This makes shake detection and compensation more accurate,allowing the use of a shutter speed of 5 stops slower*2.Combined with the body I.S.(5-axis)in the camera and the O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer,2-axis)in the LUMIX S series lenses,the five-axis dual-effect shake stabilization effectively compensates for shake,allowing the use of shutter speeds as slow as 6.5 stops*3.
These image stabilization capabilities are very useful in adverse situations such as telephoto shooting and low-light or one-handed shooting.Five-axis dual-effect image stabilization is available for photo and video recording,including 4K.The body I.S.compensates for camera movement even when using other L-mount lenses without the O.I.S.

The LUMIX S5D not only has excellent shooting performance,but also excellent portability.The LUMIX S5D features a magnesium alloy all-die-cast body with a splash/dust-proof design*1.The heat dissipation components are well-laid out to effectively transfer heat to the outside,resulting in long-term stable,continuous video shooting.
The LUMIX S5D is equipped with a large LVF(real-time viewfinder)with a magnification of approximately 0.74x,and a high-precision,high-speed OLED display with a resolution of up to 2.36 million points.The LVF uses OLED for high-speed response with a minimum time lag of less than 0.005 seconds.Its viewpoint is approximately 20mm,providing comfortable high visibility for users wearing glasses.
The 3.0-inch freely rotatable display features a 3:2 aspect ratio,a high resolution of 1.84 million points,and touch control.The frame marking function allows you to check the composition of shots taken at various common aspect ratios such as 16:9,4:3,1:1,4:5,5:4,and 9:16.The Shot Screen Indicator identifies whether the camera is shooting.
The LUMIX S5D comes with dual SD memory card slots,one for UHS-I and the other for high-speed,high-capacity UHS-II(V90).In addition,for user convenience,the camera battery can be charged via AC or USB.
