/PRZWT/SHENZHEN, April 26, 2024 - To celebrate Earth Day on April 22, MAX & Co. teamed up with ACBC, the Italian leader in eco-friendly product design and manufacturing, to unveil the brand's first ultra-low-carbon eco-friendly sneaker. With light blue, fuchsia, and cream white as the main colors, the upper is cleverly integrated with the MAX & Co. brand's iconic "&" symbol on the side, which not only highlights the uniqueness of the brand's design, but also adds a finishing touch to everyday casual wear.

The ultra-low-carbon eco-friendly sneakers created in collaboration with ACBC are crafted entirely from sustainable materials, including RePET, which is recycled from recycled PET plastic bottles; RePU, which is made from recycled factory waste and is cleverly processed into new products to reduce the need for virgin materials; ReCotton, which is made from recycled cotton fibers; and ReEVA, which is recycled from recycled pre-produced EVA, minimizing the use of fossil fuel-derived materials.

The packaging design also reflects responsibility and environmental protection: its self-assembled structure is made of FSC-certified paper, eliminating the need for glue, which is both environmentally friendly and convenient.

Gio Giacobbe, chief executive of ACBC, said: "It was an honour to work with MAX & Co. on this project, where the biggest challenge was the need to minimise the carbon footprint of this sneaker. Throughout the production process, we took careful care of the quality of the sustainable materials used in each component. This move was critical to achieving a very low carbon footprint."

"The partnership with ACBC is a unique opportunity for MAX & Co.: the footwear project we have created together contains a substantial and genuine element of sustainability, which is the focus of our brand's deep concern. We are very proud of our close collaboration over three quarters and look forward to the future," said Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, global omni-channel operating director of MAX & Co. and board member of the Max Mara Fashion Group.

"We are very proud to have joined forces with ACBC, the most high-profile specialist in the Italian and international markets, to launch the & C.01 sneaker, an innovative attempt at the traditional sneaker concept. The partnership with ACBC allows us to continuously challenge ourselves and grow in terms of environmental impact, which is a future trend we have always followed and believed in," said Elia Maramotti, brand director of MAX & Co. and member of the sustainability committee of the Max Mara Fashion Group.
