During his studies at the National University of Music, Hisaishi developed a strong interest in minimal music and embarked on the path of a modern music composer. Since then, he has officially made his debut as an independent musician by releasing "MKWAJU" in 1981 and the first chapter album "INFORMATION" in 982. After that, he has created albums such as "Minimalist Melodies" series (2009, 2015, 2017), "Melodyphony" (2010), "Dream Songs: The Essential Joe Hisaishi" released simultaneously by Decca Gold, and his latest album "Symphonic Suite" Kiki's Delivery Service ". Hisaishi has been responsible for the music of Miyazaki's animated films for nearly 20 years, from the 1984 film "Nausicaa of the Wind" to the 2013 film "The Wind Rises". In addition, he has also served as the soundtrack for Takeshi Kitano's "Fireworks" (1998), Yojiro Takita's "The Undertaker" (2008), Lee Sang-il's "The Wicked Man" (2010), Takahata's "The Story of Kumiya Hime" (2013), Yoji Yamada's "Family Suffering" series (2016, 2017, 2018), and Watanabe's "Son of the Sea Beast" (2019). At the same time, he is also very active as a classical music conductor, not only in Japan, but also worldwide with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Symphony Orchestra and other world-renowned orchestras, performing all over the world. In 2018, it achieved a joint performance with the American composer David Lang. Not only did it perform in Tokyo, but the performance at Carnegie Hall in New York caused a great response with thunderous applause. In July 2019, he launched another brand-new project - "Future Orchestra Classic (FOC) ", and also produced the long-awaited "Jean Hisashi, Complete Beethoven Symphonies", which won the Special Division Special Award at the 57th Japan Record Academy Awards. In 2020, Hisashi began to perform the complete Brahms Symphony. In September 2020, he became the resident composer of the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and in April 2021, he became the principal guest conductor of the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra. Today, as a composer and posture, he is still full of energy to convey to the world what "modern music" is.
The Future Orchestra Classics
Based on the former Nagano Chamber Orchestra since 2016, the orchestra gathers top young performers active in Japan and abroad. In 2019, it debuted under the new name Future Orchestra Classics under the organization of Rao Hisashi.
Through the professional perspective of the composer Hisashi Rang, classical music is deconstructed, and the performance of the orchestra is full of innovation and vitality with a rhythm-oriented performance method, so that the classical music can show a new charm with modern methods. The modern music performance project including classical music and Hisashi Rang's works has been well received by the audience. Since 2016, the complete works of Beethoven's symphonies have been performed for 3 years. "Beethoven: Complete Symphonies", released in July 2019, won the special award of the 57th Recording Academy Awards. Currently working hard to become an orchestra that speaks to the world from Japan.
This symphony concert special will be presented exclusively in two days and two sessions, listening to Hisashi Rang outside the movie screen in inlivein, highlighting profound classical music. Cross-era dialogue with Lebo Sumera and Brahms, the premiere of the second symphony created by himself, chamber music "I want to tell you", symphony suite "Princess Ghost" and other works will make a major debut again.
