/PRCWT/Guangzhou, August 15, 2023——On August 14, BAIC Blue Valley announced that in order to further deepen cooperation, BAIC New Energy will carry out intelligent cooperation with Huawei Terminal Co., LTD., based on the existing strategic cooperation with Huawei Technologies Co., LTD., and the first model is positioned as a high-end intelligent pure electric car. In order to meet the needs of new model design and production, the company will upgrade the existing BE22 platform in an all-round way to create a new generation of high-end pure electric intelligent connected vehicle platform of BAIC new energy. The upgraded BE22 platform products will be produced by Beijing high-end intelligent ecological Factory.
Baic New Energy is the first car company to cooperate with Huawei. In 2017, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement, put forward the common vision of "two strugglers, a good car", and the two sides jointly set up a project team code-named HBT, and many engineers of the Huawei project team are stationed in the Blue Valley headquarters of BAIC New Energy. Since then, the two sides have signed two consecutive cooperation agreements to deepen and upgrade.
In 2021, the new HI version of the Polar Fox Alpha S jointly built by BAIC Blue Valley and Huawei was released at the Shanghai Auto Show and delivered in 2022. This car is the first production car equipped with Huawei HI intelligent car solution, is the world's first production car to support intelligent driving on urban roads, with Huawei's highest level of intelligent driving, can cover the parking lot, high-speed and other detailed field attractions to the point of access, the two sides continue to promote the landing application of NCA represented by the high-level intelligent driving technology. NCA is a key feature in Huawei ADS intelligent driver assistance system. So far, the new HI version of Polar Fox Alpha S has realized the full push of urban NCA in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai, and users can realize the city's high-level intelligent driving assistance based on high-definition maps.
On May 19, 2023, BAIC New Energy upgraded the new HI version of Polar Fox Alpha S to "Polar Fox Alpha S advance version", providing a more competitive price, and launched the most sincere old user care policy.
As BAIC New Energy and Huawei open the cooperation model, the two sides will work together to create a good car, bring users a more intelligent and higher-end driving experience, and help China's new energy vehicles develop upward.
