/PRCWT/Guangzhou, August 10, 2023——The National English Vocabulary Contest for College students in 2023, sponsored by Air English Classroom Magazine, was launched again. The competition continues to implement the spirit of documents such as the Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Accelerating the Construction of High-level Undergraduate Education and Comprehensively Improving the Ability of Talent Cultivation, stimulating the interest of college students in learning English, increasing the reserve of English vocabulary, promoting the development of students' English vocabulary ability, and providing a stage for college students nationwide to demonstrate their English vocabulary level and ability.
Since 2021, the competition has been successfully held for three consecutive times, and has been actively supported by teachers and students from many colleges and universities across the country! With the support of teachers from the competition sites, the competition attracted more than 1,800 entrants last year. Students from many colleges and universities have achieved excellent results.
In the national preliminary and national final, the competition is divided into three groups: non-English professional group, English professional group and vocational college group, and each group will be awarded separately. The test questions are single-choice, with English vocabulary as the center, to examine the reserve of English vocabulary knowledge and comprehensive application ability of the participants, so as to comprehensively improve the application of basic English knowledge and comprehensive learning quality of contemporary college students, and promote the efficiency of English learning in the new era.
It is hoped that through the launch of the competition, we can create a good atmosphere for foreign language learning and find more high-quality foreign language talents, so as to serve the development of the country, spread Chinese culture and display the image of China.
