Since the competition was launched in January, 24,000 teams and nearly 57,000 people have participated in 28 divisions across the country. After the fierce competition in the preliminary, semi-final and final, the proposition group of "Future Space Vehicle" has won 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 8 third prizes. In the "smart community" proposition group, the university group and the secondary school group decided 4 first prize groups, 7 second prize groups and 11 third prize groups respectively.
As a public welfare supporter of SFT Science Innovation Competition, Samsung China focuses on the future trend of science and technology, based on social practical problems, shares its advantages in science and technology resources, and provides a platform for the cultivation of scientific literacy and dreams for young people. Focusing on the theme of "Intelligence, safety and environmental protection", the competition set up two topics, "future space vehicle" and "smart community", to test the ability of young people to "find problems, solve problems and do practical work".In recent years, the development of China's space industry has made remarkable achievements, and the country has paid more and more attention to the training of space science and technology personnel. In the "Future Space Vehicle" proposition, contestants are encouraged to explore space, learn to use scientific knowledge, use specified materials, and constantly try a variety of design ideas and device construction methods to complete the space vehicle climbing obstacles, so as to promote the innovative thinking of the developers and the exploration ability of future technology, and help the training of aerospace science and technology talents.
Wu LAN Baoyin and Du Yufeng, competitors from Inner Mongolia region, used physics, science and technology and innovative thinking to design a new idea of device construction. By using three-stage traction and folding, they greatly improved the climbing height of the space car. Finally, they successfully completed the task with a climbing height of 59 cm. Won the first prize of the proposition group of "Future Space Vehicle" in this competition.
In the proposition of "Smart community", the competition hopes to guide the contestants to learn to observe life, find practical problems in life, and reasonably use artificial intelligence, Internet of things and other related technologies to create scientific and technological innovative works and solutions to solve practical problems.
Beijing Competition team focused on community traffic safety issues, designed and developed a set of intelligent helmet based on the Internet of Things technology -- Security guard. The safety guard realizes the helmet wearing monitoring function, so that the driver can start the electric vehicle only when he wears the helmet correctly. The safety guard also has the functions of overspeed warning, fall alarm, solar power supply and so on, which can ensure the safety of electric bike riders and effectively reduce traffic safety risks at the same time. Finally, this project won the first prize of the middle school group of "Smart Community" proposition in this competition.
A team from Fujian region designed an intelligent elderly care crutch with the help of medical detection and IoT technology, which can automatically call for help when falling down, locate and track, real-time heart rate monitoring and other functions. Intelligent elderly care crutches can judge the scene of the elderly falling down, automatically trigger the call function, and send a real-time map to the emergency contact person, which helps to alleviate the safety problem of the elderly going out alone. At the same time, it can also keep an eye on the elderly's heart rate, blood pressure and other health conditions. This project won the first prize in the "Smart Community" proposition University group of this competition. In the
competition, there are many excellent works focusing on improving intelligent life in communities and future space vehicles, such as fully automatic intelligent shoe cabinet based on voice recognition and three-dimensional coordinate system, intelligent access control system to solve security problems of public rental housing, intelligent household electric vehicle model based on Arduino system, and a variety of space vehicle models in different forms. These entries are both practical and innovative, fully demonstrating the vitality of scientific and technological innovation and the sense of social responsibility of contemporary teenagers.
Solve for Tomorrow(SFT) is an educational public benefit project launched by Samsung worldwide, aiming to train young people around the world to solve practical problems in the real society through interdisciplinary knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and encourage them to pay attention to the development of science and technology and enhance their love for science and technology. In 2013, Samsung introduced the SFT project into China. The science Popularization Innovation Competition has been successfully held for eight times, and the number of participants has achieved a step increase every year.
