Xiamen New Brainpower is working with global fashion designers to launch digital fashion brands for the virtual world. Called FROGWELL, it will be made up entirely of virtual clothing and accessories. Items will be sold on various metaverse platforms as augmented reality add-ons and NFT.
FROGWELL represents a unique collaboration across technology and fashion. New Brain is working with fashion designers in Beijing, London, New York and, of course, Xiamen. Designers will use cutting-edge 3D modeling software to create virtual goods. The new Brainpower will also deploy cloud collaboration tools to create a virtual fashion studio where design teams across the globe can work together. The new Brainpower will also develop the necessary technology integration so that digital products can be seamlessly sold on the trans-meta universe platform and as NFT.
Millions of U.S. users around the world are increasingly buying digital clothing and accessories for their avatars as user activity in virtual worlds rapidly increases. Morgan Stanley, the US investment bank, estimates that the virtual market could be worth more than $55bn by 2030.
Christopher Khan, CEO of New Brain, also sees digital fashion as a fast-moving trend. "Fashion is one of the most vibrant forms of creative and cultural expression. It is central to our identity. As we spend more attention and time in virtual environments, it's natural that we want to express ourselves through the clothes we wear."
Innovation will be at the heart of the FROGWELL brand. Metaverse fashion requires new ways of thinking and new ways of designing. This makes design options that are impossible in the real world possible in the digital environment. "We definitely do these things differently," Mr. Kris said. "It's important to take a fresh look at digital fashion."
