On May 25, the "Friend of Time" ten-year Employee Gratitude Ceremony of Huanai Household Group (2009-2019) was held in Zhangjiakou, the birthplace of Huanai. "Legless Mountaineer" Xia Boyu, who won the Laureus World Sports Award - Sports Moment of the Year 2019, was on hand to share his climbing experience. As the consultant of Huannai Mountaineering team, Mr. Xia talked about persistence and dream with the representatives of ten years' staff.
Xia Boyu first climbed Qomolangma at the age of 26 and suffered amputations. In the following 43 years, he experienced avalanches, snowstorms, earthquakes and other bad conditions during the climbing process, and even suffered from cancer, but he still did not give up his dream of Everest. Finally, he successfully climbed Qomolangma at the age of 69 on his fifth attempt.
Mr. Xia keeps the habit of high-intensity exercise all year round, getting up at 5 o 'clock every day, squats, pull-ups, push-ups, dumbbells, riding to climb the Fragrant Hill, fast hiking... Every little insistence is his best footnote to the summit of Mount Everest.
In 2008 he said: "No matter how high the mountain is, it is higher than the mountaineer; No matter how dangerous the road is, it cannot stop the brave heart." In exchange for 43 years, he has a reason to do what he has done.
