On May 11, the annual fundraising event "An Egg's Fury" was held in Pudong, Shanghai. As an active practitioner of public welfare and charity, M&G has participated in the Walking activity for five consecutive years. This time, M&G organized three powerful teams, namely the Rainbow Charity Walking Team, M&G Production 666 Team and M&G Executive Walking Team, to walk 50 kilometers for Love and walking with 5,000 people with perseverance and faith, and to send love and warmth to children in poor areas with practical actions.
As one of the earliest charity walking activities in China, "One Egg Run" was initiated by Shanghai Lianquan Foundation in 2011, aiming to raise funds for the U Building Blocks Program and U Spring Program, and is committed to the healthy growth and equal development of children aged 0-18. Over the past eight years, more than 20,000 participants have raised more than 57 million yuan for the campaign, helping more than 600,000 children. The participants need to walk 50km within 12 hours and collect donations from the network of acquaintances in creative ways to realize the dual value of personal challenge and participation in public welfare, and bring happiness and satisfaction to the public through their own public welfare practices.
Chenguang Stationery has been practicing social responsibility since its inception and integrating it into corporate development. Chenguang Rainbow Public Welfare has been involved in education, poverty relief and other fields, actively carrying out public welfare projects such as "Golden Seed Education Program", "Blue Sky Love Program" and "Rainbow in Action", focusing on the growth and education of children. It coincides with the public welfare concept of "The outrage of an egg".
At 8 o 'clock in the morning, the great and mighty walking procession started from the beautiful Guangming Ecological Park, passed through the Qiguan Village, Kangqiao Ecological Park, Zhangjiang Theme Park, Dingxiang International Square, and finally arrived at the terminal station -- Fashion Art Center Shipyard 1862. All the way forward, everyone expressed their courage and determination with sweat and action. After more than 9 hours of perseverance, under the extreme heat of nearly 30 degrees, breaking through the physical and mental limits, the three teams of Chenguang finally completed the challenge successfully and achieved good results.
At the end of the activity, M&G held the "1+1" donation activity at HBC Shipyard 1862. Some enterprises purchased designated love products for use as public welfare activities. The creative Department of children's art of M&G Stationery will donate love products of the same value to children!
In addition, volunteers and cheerleaders of Chenguang Rainbow Charity provided strong logistical services and support for the team members. They were stationed at different stations along the route, holding up the signs of "Chenguang's Walking Group, the most lovely group in the world" and "A small stroke makes a great achievement", to replenish the energy and cheer for the team members.
Up to now, Chenguang Rainbow Charity has mobilized its employees to raise funds for "One Egg Rage" in 2019 through posters in the circle of friends and internal fundraising, which has accumulated nearly 12,000 yuan and is still growing. All of these donations from our partners will be donated to the United Way Charity for the U Building Block project, which will help children get a fair education and balanced development.
In the face of the unconquerable distance of 50km for ordinary people, the initial aspiration and firm belief of public service have enabled Chenguang friends to overcome themselves and move forward bravely. As the theme of this activity is "those who walk a hundred miles, one word and nine tops". For those who love to walk a hundred miles and dare to challenge themselves, doing public welfare is not careless at all. What is said is done. In the future, Chenguang people will continue to participate in more meaningful social welfare activities with enthusiasm, spread positive energy, and pass the love and warmth to more people!
