Cloud and intelligence is synonymous with the next generation of operation: Hulwhale Technology helps China Telecom TM Forum catalyst project

At the TMForum Digital Transformation Asia Summit, held in Kuala Lumpur from November 13th to November 15th, 2018, China Telecom Group, together with Hulwhale Technology and other manufacturers, demonstrated two TMF catalyst projects -- "New Retail-Intelligent Boutique" and Using AI to Intelligentize 5G Networks and Operations Management).

The two catalyst projects fully demonstrate that in the era of 5G and intelligence, China Telecom uses advanced technologies and concepts such as cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence to explore and practice deep digital transformation. The summit site, the new retail smart business hall and intelligent network management concepts attracted many domestic and foreign operators. The participants were deeply impressed by our demonstration of cloud shelf, intelligent queuing system, intelligent network arrangement and management system.

New retail smart business hall: integration of online and offline, multi-business forms gather

The project has some innovations in customer experience, marketing intelligence, online and offline integration, multi-form aggregation and self-service. Among them, Whale Technology provides successful transformation experience in digital, helping to improve customer experience, promote the integration of online and offline, and achieve comprehensive channel transformation. For example, the project integrated the Hulwhale technology intelligent platoon machine and cloud shelf system:

Intelligent queuing machine system: It has the functions of booking, taking number and calling number. It supports users to query the location information and people flow information of the surrounding business hall through the mobile network hall, the company hall and the wechat public account, and select the business hall and time period for booking and queuing. Reduce customer waiting time and improve customer experience. Help operators to reduce machine maintenance costs, and provide store customer flow data and salesperson business handling ability data for store management assessment and analysis.

Cloud shelf: integrates the product configuration capabilities of online mall and operator operation support system, and provides store operators with the ability to select products by combining with the community portrait of big data analysis. Combined with RFID technology, the cloud shelf automatically displays the details, sales volume and evaluation of the goods picked up, and intelligently recommends other related goods. Unified management of store equipment inventory information, support customers to choose to pick up goods from nearby stores or home delivery after placing orders.

5G intelligent network operation and management: intelligent network operating system, intelligent arrangement, elastic shrinkage

The project, jointly conducted by China Telecom and other manufacturers such as China Information and Communications Academy and Houjia Technology, aims to use big data and artificial intelligence to explore integrated intelligent operating systems and demonstrate an end-to-end network optimization and operation solution that can be promoted in the telecom industry.

Whale Technology presented two special topics, "End-to-end Agile orchestration of business under the old and new hybrid networks" and "Resilient Adjustment of 5G bearer network return business".

The topic of agile arrangement solves the problem of rapid opening of diverse services under 5G network. Based on the opening of the network service capability API, Hulwhale Technology builds the business choreographer, realizes the business expert oriented end-to-end visual design through the business end-to-end online designer, and realizes the business end-to-end execution through the directory driven service. Finally, the new service requirements are loaded daily, and the service is automatically opened at the minute level with the help of the network automation interface.

The topic of resilience adjustment of 5G bearer network backtransmission service mainly addresses the problem of insufficient utilization of fixed bandwidth links or bandwidth resources of the bearer network during large events or commercial activities and peak user usage periods. Based on algorithms, the AI platform built by Whale Technology builds traffic, scene and other prediction models, and trains the models with input of different data so that they can be used to guide production activities. Based on the intelligent traffic prediction results and real-time monitoring information, such as traffic, performance, topology, and routing information, as well as load, redundancy, and service policy definition and policy matching control information, the optimal path calculation and resource scheduling are carried out to guide traffic optimization. Reasonable and agile resource allocation and optimal scheduling are carried out to achieve overall network traffic balance and efficiency.

Cloud and intelligence have become the key words for China Telecom to deepen its digital transformation. China Telecom has piloted the new retail in five stores in 2018, and the pilot is expected to expand to 35 in early 2019. By the end of 2019, the new Retail Smart Foyer will be rolled out to 350 stores across the country. With China Telecom's 5G trial in 2019, the trial of 5G intelligent network operation and management in China Telecom Group will also be fully carried out.
