Yi Haoxiang, a post-90s entrepreneur graduated from Zhejiang University, is leading his friends to focus on the research and development of brainwave hardware products, and strive to use brainwave analysis technology to extend to ECG, muscle electricity and blood pressure and pulse, so as to make efforts for the health of modern people.

At this year's World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, Carriage Return will show its own smart eye mask "Yixiu" to help efficient daily relaxation, as well as a previously launched mind racing car.

First of all, brainwaves are the sum of the postsynaptic potentials that occur simultaneously in a large number of neurons when the brain is active. It records changes in electrical waves during brain activity and is the overall reflection of the electrophysiological activity of brain nerve cells on the surface of the cerebral cortex or scalp.

"Brain wave control sounds mysterious, but it's actually quite simple. Sensors on your head measure your brain waves when your mind is focused on an object. And then using the brain wave data to detect different states of the brain and make objects respond differently." Yi Haoxiang, CEO of Return Technology, explained that the eye mask Yixiu, for example, is equipped with a decoding chip and headphones. During the wearing process, the eye mask can adjust the intelligent volume according to the feedback of changes in the user's brain waves.

When the brain is detected to be in light sleep, the music turns into white noise that blocks outside sounds, and the data can be detected to choose the best time for the user to wake up.

Yi Haoxiang is wearing a casual suit, a typical male engineering dress, but has receded the college student's green astringent. He graduated from Zhejiang University with a major in biomedical engineering. Many of his classmates chose to be doctors or scientific institutes. If he had not started his own business, he would be studying for a doctor of medicine in a university on the other side of the ocean.

In 2012, Yi Haoxiang went to the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) to participate in the laboratory research project, and was highly recognized by his tutor, and recommended to study in the United States.

In 2013, when he was still in his third year of college, he and several friends developed a lamp, fan and racing car controlled by brain waves. The principle is to collect EEG signals through the idea brainwave instrument and analyze the value of the current concentration state of the brain. When the concentration of the brain reaches the basic requirements, the racing car will start to move forward.

After making the model, they went to talk to the science museum about cooperation. The children went to the science and technology museum to play, the idea of the car can not put down. "As an engineering student, I had no business sense at the beginning. At that time, I was playing with so-called 'mind control' technology out of pure love for technology."

When he graduated in 2014, Yi Haoxiang was faced with several choices: go on to graduate school, work for a large manufacturer, or start his own business.

"My elder brother Fang Yi and our angel investor Zhang Jie thought our project was promising, so they mobilized me to start a business. The window to start a business is closed, the PhD can be read later, if I miss the opportunity, intelligent hardware this fast iterative field may not have a chance for me." Yi Haoxiang says he doesn't want to leave regrets for himself.

In August 2014, Carriage Return Technology received angel investment of several million yuan such as Huadan Investment.

In July 2015, the company received millions of yuan from angel investors after a year.

In January this year, "Carriage Return technology" once again won the Pre-A round investment of 10 million yuan from Zhongguancun Venture Capital, a famous investment institution. Yi Haoxiang believes that the financing will be mainly used in two aspects: first, the development and production of subsequent iterations of products; Second, continue to explore and invest in core technologies in the field of EEG and health.

During his college years, Yi Haoxiang participated in the entrepreneurship competition of Zhejiang University, won the grand prize of the "Intel-Tsinghua" Global College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge Competition in China, and participated in the global finals of Silicon Valley in the United States, and won the top 10 in the world. In 2015, he won a number of awards such as the Bronze Award in the "Chuangyouth" China Youth Internet Entrepreneurship Competition.

Yi Haoxiang's biggest daily hobby is reading. He said frankly: "Take product making for example, at the beginning of the pattern is not big, product making only in the product itself, just want to turn technology into products. But when your vision and pattern become larger, you will start to hope that your products can make the society better, let people's lives become better, this is the value of our company."

Although Carriage Return technology has occupied the leading position in the domestic EEG field in just two years, Haoxiang admitted that he would like to test the product and test the strength in the international market.

He has been paying close attention to the every move of international giants, such as Apple's product release strategy, including the time and method of releasing new products every year, the differences between the spring and autumn releases, from which he can see the way, and apply the advantages of others to his own product strategy.

"What we are doing now is brain wave detection, which is a good predictor of mental and spiritual ill-health," Yi said. From this point of penetration, the future may continue to extend to ECG, muscle electricity, blood pressure and pulse, etc., through the enrichment of product lines to bring more data integration. We are ultimately trying to portray a person's health."
