"I have a lot of collaborations with China now, and I want to create more works that can touch Chinese audiences in a way that Chinese people like." Ahn Jae-hoon, the founder and director of the South Korean Stylus Vision Studio, which produced many animated films such as Dream of Precious Days, Korean wave masterpiece Winter Sonata, and One Day in the Life of Alfred Hitchcock, recently brought his studio's latest fantasy adventure film Asia to the 12th China International Cartoon and Game Expo. As one of the judges, I was invited to attend the award ceremony of CCG EXPO 2016 New Force Animation Original Competition, and had face-to-face interaction with animation fans.
At the award ceremony, Director Ahn Jae-hoon had a wide range of communication with animation and manga workers from various countries and regions on the creation of animation films. The Asia IP production conference was held on the morning of July 7 at the Business hall of the 12th China International Cartoon and Game EXPO (CCG EXPO). "Asia" was inspired by director Ahn Jae-hoon's solo trip along the Silk Road. He hopes to combine the characteristics of the Wizard of Oz to create a coming-of-age adventure story that will warm people of all ages. The main line of the story takes the historical facts of the Silk Road as the background material, will integrate the different cultures of many countries and regions, use fantasy techniques to re-interpret, upgrade the work into an international content industry. "Love and courage, friendship, uniting all people as one, overcoming adversity and growing." It is the idea that director Ahn Jae-hoon wants to convey to the audience through this film.

In the future, with the cooperation of Hanmi Group's cultural enterprise in China, Shanghai Jietak Culture Communication Co., LTD., Pencil Meditation Studio will actively engage in animation exchange, production and distribution both domestically and internationally, and seek win-win cooperation for the joint development of the animation industry in China and Korea.
