The press conference was presided over by Liu Yinchun, deputy Secretary-General of Beijing Municipal People's Government.
It is reported that the 2016 World Robot Conference is sponsored by the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Association for Science and Technology, and hosted by the Chinese Society of Electronics and the Administrative Committee of Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. It will be held in Beijing Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 21 to 25, 2016.
At the meeting, Sui Zhenjiang, deputy mayor of Beijing Municipal People's Government, Song Jun, member of the Leading Party Group of China Association for Science and Technology, Minister of the Academic Department of the society and director of the Office of Enterprise Work, respectively spoke. Xu Xiaolan, Secretary-General of the 2016 World Robot Conference, introduced the overall preparations for the conference.
The 2016 World Robot Conference is divided into three sections: Forum, Expo and robot competition. Among them, the forum will invite famous experts and entrepreneurs from China, Germany, the United States, Japan, South Korea and other countries to carry out high-level academic exchanges and discussions on frontier scientific research of robotics, technological development routes and strategic policy formulation. President of the International Federation of Robotics, Joe Gemma, OussamaKhatib, President of the International Foundation for Robotics Research, TaminAsfour, President of the German Society of Robotics, AtsuoTakanishi, President of the Japanese Society of Robotics, ZviShiller, President of the Israel Association of Robotics, Dan, President of the Canadian Society of Robotics and Automation Zhang and more than 300 domestic and foreign experts will attend the forum. In addition, there will be nearly 20 special forums on artificial intelligence, medical robots, driverless intelligent cars, drones and other robotics-related fields during the conference.
Finally, a 100-day countdown to the 2016 World Robot Conference was launched at the press conference. Leaders at the conference unveiled the countdown together, marking the World Robot Conference preparatory work into the full sprint stage.
