Before that, Hitachi Elevator released the 1200m/min ultra-high speed elevator technology in 2014. While constantly breaking through the elevator speed, Hitachi also examined the people-oriented technology perspective, and tried to make people move in the city more comfortable, provide "more humanized products and services", and put forward the concept of HUMAN FRIENDLY.

Based on the concept of HUMAN FRIENDLY, Hitachi has launched the first HUMAN FRIENDLY elevator concept "HF-1" through the integration and innovation of industrial design and advanced technology by joining hands with the famous Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa.

In the design of "HF-1", Naoto Fukanzawa's "unconscious design" style is integrated. Starting from people's common unconscious memory and action track, the action details and human senses of the elevator are transformed into product design, and new elements fit the elevator are injected to design a comfortable elevator space that does not feel pressure.

The car uses a rounded design, the corners of the appropriate rounded, exactly in line with the curve of the human shoulder, than the regular ordinary elevator more secure. The car lighting adopts the function of convertible color temperature, the lighting effect can be changed according to different periods of the day, with a pleasant prompt sound, so that the visual and auditory comfort of the ride is better. The elevator buttons are designed in black and white with high contrast, and use of convex text to ensure good tactile discrimination.

"HF-1" improves the interactive experience between elevators and people through cross-border innovation and diversified integration, creating unique product experience and higher user value, which is a new idea exploration in the elevator field. The elevator was also awarded the 2015 Good Design GOLD AWARD by the Japanese Good Design Awards, known as the "Oriental Design Oscars".

Koji Nomura, who is in charge of the product planning at Hitachi, said, "Just as various means of transportation and services continue to evolve as people's lifestyles change, Hitachi believes there is room for evolution in elevators, escalators and pedestrian walkways. We added barrier-free design and humanized design to the product concept of HF-1, and developed an elevator suitable for all people, so that the elevator can cater to the different needs of each passenger."

Already used in office buildings in Japan, Hitachi is hoping to take the elevator industry in a new direction by showing off its friendly philosophy of trying to embrace the human unconscious with this highly personalised lift.
