/PRZWT/Changchun, July 16, 2024 - On July 12, 2024, Shell and FAW Jiefang jointly held the launch press conference of "Star Energy Escort, Domain See the Future" in Changchun. The press conference officially launched five new products, including ultra-low viscosity diesel engine lubricants, National VI long-term diesel engine oils, National V long-term diesel engine oils, and long-term natural gas engine lubricants. This series of new products embodies the technical essence of more than ten years of cooperation between Shell and FAW Jiefang, and will bring energy-saving, cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing lubrication solutions to China's road transportation industry.
Star Field concept truck, the carrier of both parties' innovative technologies
Shell and FAW Jiefang, as partners for more than a decade, have maintained a close cooperation relationship in technology and branding. In 2023, the two parties joined hands to launch the Star Field Concept Truck project, which integrates the cutting-edge concepts and innovative technologies of both parties. These include low-drag body design, Jiefang's hybrid chassis, and Shell's custom-developed full range of lubricant products. On April 28 this year, the Star Concept Truck officially launched in Changchun and started its global tour. As a co-developer of the Star Concept Truck, Shell has brought forward-looking total solutions including lubrication, fuel system and intelligent diagnostic system to this truck. Among them, the newly developed lubricating oil products have excellent fuel economy, anti-oxidation and anti-wear properties, which can effectively protect the engine and transmission, improve efficiency, and provide a solid guarantee for the global tour of Star Truck.
Star Field series lubricants, a new solution with high efficiency and low consumption
The Star Field series lubricating oil products released this time are based on the technology of the Star Field truck project. The series covers five original lubricating oil products: ultra-low viscosity diesel engine lubricating oil, National VI long-term diesel engine oil, National V long-term diesel engine oil, long-term natural gas engine lubricating oil, and long-term vehicle gear oil. The birth of the Star Field series lubricating oil embodies the technical essence of Shell and FAW Jiefang, which not only enriches the Star Field series product line, but also provides efficient and environmentally friendly lubrication solutions for China's road transportation industry.
