Lenovo has always adhered to ecological priority and promoted green development, and this event is the third year that Lenovo has seen the implementation of planned public welfare projects. In 2021, Lenovo launched the "Lianmeng See Plan", and joined hands with public welfare organizations and members such as Alxa Ecological Foundation to plant halossa trees in the Tengger Desert of Inner Mongolia to create an exclusive Lianmeng forest. At present, the project has planted more than 120,000 trees and nearly 3,000 mu of shuttle forest in the Alxa desert area, reducing carbon by nearly 2 million Kg.
At the launch ceremony, Lenovo also announced that it will continue to cooperate with Alxa Ecological Foundation to expand the planting scale of Haloxel tree and fulfill its corporate responsibility for local ecological restoration.
As a charitable organization dedicated to desertification control and ecological restoration in Alxa, Inner Mongolia, the Alxa Ecological Foundation has been continuously planting halossa trees on a large scale for more than ten years, building shelter forests, and making a lot of efforts for local wind prevention and sand fixation, ecological management, and the establishment of green safety barriers in the north.
Li Dansheng, founder and honorary president of Alxa Ecological Foundation, said that the harmonious development of man and nature is the guarantee of sustainable economic and social development, and is a great cause for the benefit of future generations, which requires the strength of the whole society to work together.
