Beijing Supercomputer won the first place in general CPU computing power

On November 12, the 20th China HPC TOP100 ranking and the international AI Performance Ranking AIPerf500 were officially announced at the 3rd "China Super Computing Conference". Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center (hereinafter referred to as "Beijing Supercomputer") has been listed in China's HPC TOP100 for two consecutive years, and won the "First place in General CPU Computing performance" for two consecutive years. At the same time, 10 AI computing systems of Beijing supercomputer were listed in the 2021 AI Perf500 list, ranking first in total share.

As the most authoritative and influential HPC performance evaluation list in China, China HPC TOP100 has become the "wind indicator" of hard power in the field of supercomputer in China. It is the best practice for the successful exploration of commercialization of "Beijing Supercomputer" that "Beijing Supercomputer" can achieve such remarkable achievements and have three sets of breakthrough supercomputer systems shortlisted at the same time.

"Beijing Supercomputer" was founded on November 1, 2011 by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Municipal government, headquartered in Huairou Science City, the main operating body is Beijing Beilong Supercloud Computing Co., LTD. Under the guidance and support of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing Municipal government, "Beijing Supercomputer" further deepened market-oriented reform in 2017, explored commercial operation models of supercomputers, and realized its own profit and loss in 2018. At present, "Beijing Super Computer" has served a large number of small and medium-sized enterprise users 160,000, the annual transaction volume exceeded 1 billion yuan.

The three supercomputer systems shortlisted in China HPC TOP100 list this time are: Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center T6 partition, A6 Partition and A partition. Among them, Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center T6 partition won the first place in general CPU computing performance (isocratic core CPU performance) with Linpack performance of 10.83PFlops.

In just one year, "Beijing Supercomputer" has realized HPC in China The results of tripling the number of supercomputers on the TOP100 list and tripling the performance of supercomputing power are mainly due to the dynamic expansion and supply on demand construction and operation mode of "Beijing Supercomputer". Instead of using the traditional "one-step" construction mode of supercomputers, "Beijing Supercomputer" fully adopts the market model and dynamically expands according to the actual needs of users. On the one hand, this construction mode can meet the needs of different types of users and provide different resource allocation and services. On the other hand, "Beijing Supercomputer" reduces the pressure of hardware investment and puts more resources into improving user services.

The researchers of a project used the computing resources of "Beijing Supercomputer" to complete the parametric design for the flow head of the medium-speed maglev train. With aerodynamic lift and vehicle drag as optimization objectives, the multi-objective aerodynamic optimization design was carried out, and the optimized streamline shape was established. Compared with the original shape, the aerodynamic lift coefficient of the front car was increased by 33.25%, and the aerodynamic lift coefficient of the rear car was reduced by 1.78%. The aerodynamic drag coefficient of the vehicle is reduced by 4.44%, and the aerodynamic performance of the medium-speed maglev train is greatly improved after optimization.
