GeoScene 2.1 release makes 3D applications available everywhere

At present, 3D is one of the most concerned hot spots in GIS industry, and also the center of "cross-border" integration. In recent years, in the process of continuous integration of 3D GIS with UAV technology, BIM and game engine, driven by projects such as urban information model (CIM) and 3D map of natural resources, 3D data is gradually coming out of 3D system into 3D service, which can meet the application requirements of different business departments as basic data. This has led to a growing number of three-dimensional applications for everyday life.

However, in this process, we also face multiple difficulties and challenges. Thousands of square kilometers of real 3D data, full factor 3D data of the whole city, the increasing number and volume of BIM... In addition to discrete three-dimensional objects, people also pay more attention to the spatial distribution of geological, acoustic, optical, electrical and other field data. Therefore, more and more content, more and more data types and sources, and more and more data volume need to be carried in 3D application scenarios.

In order to deal with these problems, the new generation of domestic geographic information platform GeoScene adopts OGC I3S standard to promote 3D data service, supporting a variety of terminals to use 3D services at any time and anywhere.

The newly launched 3D data governance software of GeoScene 2.1, which has just been released, can realize data conversion, optimization and efficient release according to the characteristics of mainstream 3D data in the market. The volume element model can satisfy the spatial distribution and spatial mining analysis of geological borehole data, temperature and humidity meteorological data and other field data on the desktop. The Maps SDK enables efficient rendering of 3D data in the game engine.

Massive real 3D data governance

3D data governance is an essential part of user data processing. In order to reduce the troubles caused by 3D Data format in the use of products and improve the compatibility of products supporting 3D data format,GeoScene 2.1 has launched a new 3D data governance tool set software 3D Data Cooker for Pro. This tool set includes data format conversion toolbox and general I3S processing toolbox. It is mainly oriented to multi-source 3D data such as manual fine model, tilt model, BIM and point cloud, covering the whole process from data conversion, import, release and optimization to subsequent service addition and update, realizing efficient service release and data loading, and improving 3D data display effect in large scenes. The efficiency and effect of data front-end loading can be greatly improved by using data processing module for optimization.

Added body element support

Volume element layers can be used for multidimensional space-time representation of various types of data, such as atmosphere, ocean, geological model, signal distribution, etc., can be used as volume element layers for visualization rendering. It can also be loaded with other data to better explore spatial relationships.

In GeoScene 2.1, you can directly load NetCDF files with full volume information as volume element rendering, and you can also create volume element layers through various methods such as 3D interpolation.

GIS engine and game engine double support

The official Unreal Store has added the Vitruvio plugin, which works directly with the planning package created by CityEgnine (*.rpk). This plugin allows you to generate Mesh underside building models in Unreal and dynamically adjust them, as well as mass map them from existing prime models.

In addition,GeoScene 2.1 provides Maps SDK to support the use of image services, 3D services (model data) or Local files in game engines (Unreal, Unity), and Globe and Local modes to present massive 3D GIS scenes.
