Beijing, September 11, 2020 -- Intel and Tencent announced a series of innovative collaborations at the Tencent Global Digital Ecology Conference 2020 today: The two parties jointly developed and launched Tencent Cloud Star Hai Si server, comprehensively upgraded the joint laboratory of Tencent and Intel, and cooperated with Tencent to expand in-depth cooperation in the field of AI, applying the AI performance of CPU in Tencent Cloud Xiaowei speech synthesis, to achieve high-quality and low delay speech synthesis. In addition, the two sides have launched smart student computers to teach students in accordance with their aptitude and promote the intelligent development of education.
The Tencent Cloud Star Sea four-way server, customized by Intel and Tencent, is equipped with four third-generation Intel ® Xeon ® expandable processors and second-generation Intel ® Oteng ™ durable memory. It is a large-scale on-ground RAS technology in the industry, which can meet the whole business scenarios such as universal computing, heterogeneous computing, bare metal and high-performance computing. The number of database service nodes increased by 2.16 times 2. At the same time, the density, heat dissipation capacity and fan energy saving are respectively increased by 117%, 22% and 30%, and the downtime probability is also significantly reduced by 50%. This not only greatly improves the strategic capability of Tencent cloud computing matrix, but also provides users with stronger computing performance in AI and other scenarios to achieve flexible deployment, and effectively reduces the overall cost of cloud services.
